Timewalking Dungeons are a periodic WoW event that allows players to run dungeons from previous expansions via the dungeon finder tool and gain exclusive rewards. It’s a good way to get some good up-to-date gear and rare mounts from previous expansions. In this guide, we want to tell you about the Timewalking Dungeon Event, what rewards you can get during this event, and where to find vendors of each Timewalking Dungeon Event.
WoW Timewalking Dungeons Key Takeaways:
- Timewalking Dungeons in WoW take place every other week and last for one week.
- When the Timewalking Week is active, you can queue in Dungeon Finder and complete themed dungeons from previous expansions.
- Each week, Timewalking Dungeons rotate the expansions. Check the schedule to see which expansion is active now.
- The Timewalking currency is Timewarped Badges. You can use it to obtain gear, mounts, pets, and toys from the Timewalking vendor.
What Is a Timewalking Dungeon Event?
Timewalking dungeon event in World of Warcraft is a unique way to queue up for old dungeons from the themed expansions. Your level 50 characters and higher get access to a special Timewalking Dungeon Event finder queue. The power of your character will be scaled down to revisit the dungeons of the themed expansion.
By completing these dungeons and killing bosses of these dungeons, you’ll get actual loot, fashionable transmogs, and special Timewalking Badges, called Timewarped Bagde, which you can spend at special vendors that are different from one themed event to another.
From Timewalking vendors, you can get:
- Timewalking Mounts for 5000 badges;
- Timewalking Toys for 500 badges;
- Upgrades for your Heirlooms from 750 to 1200 badges, depending on the level of upgrade;
- Low-level pieces from 35 badges to 100 badges;
- Themed vendors’ offers.
📌 Maybe you have any unfinished achievements from the past? It’s also a good way to complete them during this event.
How to Get Timewarped Badges in WoW?
To obtain the Timewarped Bagdes from Timewalking Dungeons in WoW, you need to complete some tasks while in a dungeon, for instance, kill a boss, complete the dungeon, etc. Each of these tasks rewards you with a few badges:
- Kill the boss — 5;
- Kill the last boss of the dungeon — 10;
- Complete a dungeon — 10;
- Call to Arms — 50;
However, you get the largest amount of Timewarped Bagdes when you complete a weekly event quest, which drops from the last boss of the dungeon — 500. In WoW The War Within, you can pick up the weekly Timewalking quest from Archivist Frithrun in Dornogal.
When the Timewalking event starts, you’ll gain a 50% increased reputation rate from killing monsters and completing quests with the themed expansion factions. An additional bonus is that you have a small chance to get Reins of the Infinite Timereaver mount from any boss.
In fact, the Infinite Timereaver is also a good option to earn badges through the desired number of Timewalking runs. Also, you’ll increase your chance to get this rarest mount or click on the banner to pick any of the Timewalking mounts you want.
How to Enter a Timewalking Dungeon Event?
When the Timewalking Dungeons event is active, characters level 50 and above can enter a special finder queue. In the Dungeon and Raids tab, there’s a drop-down list in the Dungeon section. There, you can select Random Timewalking Dungeon. There are 6 dungeons in rotation. You can check which are in the pull simply navigate to the “dice” icon.
Don’t forget to pick up a weekly Timewalking quest from Archivist Frithrun in Dornogal, as it offers an increased reward — a Heroic-level Cache of K’areshi Treasures. During the Tubulent Timeways event, the reward gets an upgrade; normally, you can get higher ilvl pieces from the cache. After Turbulent Timewalking has run its course, the reward returns to its normal ilvl.
