Dragonflight Monk Overview
Monk is a class that can choose between 3 available roles. Playing Monk is interesting because of the mechanics. Every spec has unique and amazing features that many players love. Another thing about Monk is the oriental vibe this class has. It is imbued with the spirit of the East. No matter what spec you are playing, you will sense the atmosphere of dragons, martial arts, and ancient legends.
Dragonflight Monk Spec Choice
The strengths and weaknesses of each class are purely subjective things. However, there are axioms with which most agree.

Mistweaver Monk
The Mistweaver specialization makes Monk to be a Jack of all trades, as different talent choices can allow them to heal both tanks and the raid very well.

Dragonflight Monk Leveling
Thanks to the fact that Monk can handle all the roles in the game, we assume that the most efficient way to level up this class is to run dungeons. That will save you a huge chunk of time as you will get a lot of experience in one place without any extra runs around the open world. Note that dungeon leveling can be inefficient if you do it with a weak pug group, as they sometimes can wipe over and over again. In that scenario, It is a great idea to take a break and switch to questing. Choose between two expansions that have been proven to be the best. Quests in Warlords of Draenor and Legion expansions are packed conveniently, which reduces your time for running around.
Don’t hesitate to spend some gold on the following items, as they will ease your life drastically.
- Gunshoes – increase your movement speed on the ground;
- Goblin Glider Kit – having a few in your bags is always helpful;
- Light-Step Hoofplates & Comfortable Rider’s Barding – improve your ground mounts;
- Bear Tartare – Killing monsters increases your speed;
- Drums of Deathly Ferocity – A Bloodlust effect;
- Spectral Flask of Power – The old flask will give you a pretty decent stat increase.

Dragonflight Monk Best Race
Note that race choice doesn’t affect your game. The difference between various races is miserable. Still, for the Alliance, we recommend playing Dwarves. Their Might of the Mountain passive increases the damage of all critical strikes by 2%. Stoneform ability is also good as it helps you to cleanse debuffs from you and works as an extra save ability that monks lack.
On the other hand, Orcs are the best race for the Horde players. Blood Fury combined with any on-use trinkets will boost your damage to the skies.
Dragonflight Monk Best Professions
We recommend picking professions to have a stable gold income. Some professions are the best in terms of quality-of-life things. Engineering is the winner of this category. It allows you to craft battle resurrection devices like Disposable Spectrophasic Reanimator. The importance of these things is unmeasurable. Sometimes it is so important to have an ability to resuscitate your tank or healer that it makes a difference between a boss kill and wipe.
Alchemy and Enchanting are the best choices for gold making. Both professions can provide players with major upgrades that will be in high demand during all seasons of expansion. For more detailed information, check out our various in-depth Dragonflight profession guides.
