Touch of Malice is one of Destiny 2’s most iconic high-risk, high-reward Exotics. Its defining trait allows the final round in the magazine to regenerate endlessly, dealing bonus damage at the cost of your health — effectively giving the weapon an infinite magazine.
The catch? Every powerful kill or rapid multi-kill restores massive health, allowing skilled players to stay alive while outputting terrifying sustained damage. This makes Touch of Malice exceptionally strong in endgame PvE, especially in encounters with constant enemy waves.
On top of that, precision hits charge Taken Blight energy, letting you fire a Darkness projectile that blinds enemies and controls space — similar to Taken Captain blight attacks. Combined with its Catalyst, which adds Rapid Hit for better stability and reload feel, this Scout Rifle becomes smooth, lethal, and incredibly satisfying.
If you want an Exotic that feels dangerous, powerful, and rewarding, there’s every reason to purchase Touch of Malice Boost and let Overgear’s PROs handle the grind safely.
Touch of Malice drops exclusively from Oryx, The Taken King, the final boss of the King’s Fall raid. The drop chance is low, and many players need numerous clears before obtaining it.
After acquiring the weapon, you can unlock its Catalyst by completing hidden puzzles inside King’s Fall, rewarding the Rapid Hit perk to improve stability and reload speed through precision hits.
Instead of relying on weekly RNG, use our Touch of Malice Boosting Service — we’ll complete all required raid runs and Catalyst objectives efficiently until your Exotic is secured.
Consider that developers changed the security and in-game surveillance system recently. That could cause account suspension for some activities. We worked out instructions to avoid the risks involved. Make sure to follow them. Your managers and boosters will tell you what to do before and during the order execution <3
It has the ability to shoot without running out of ammo at the cost of the user's health. However, getting three rapid kills automatically restores a portion of the user's health. The weapon also becomes more accurate and deadly as your health drops, giving a 100% damage increase.
Yes! Originally coming out all the way back in Destiny 1, Touch of Malice makes a return in Destiny 2. You can get by defeating Oryx, the final boss of the King’s Fall raid. However, it’s not guaranteed and has a very low drop chance. If the grind becomes too much for you, consider buying our D2 Touch of Malice weapon boost! We’ll farm the rifle for you, freeing your time for more enjoyable experiences!
Touch of Malice is a unique exotic scout rifle, obtained from the King’s Fall raid. While it has only 11 bullets in the magazine, the rifle can shoot indefinitely for as long as you have health to spare. It also becomes much more deadly and accurate once your health is used to keep it going. But if you manage to hit 3 consecutive kills, some of the health will be restored.
This is a truly unusual and powerful weapon, but it might require getting used to. Having certain equipment and mods can absolutely make or break your experience with this exotic, turning you from a suicidal lunatic into the unstoppable force of nature. If you need help fine tuning the gun or getting it in the first place, our Touch of Malice Destiny 2 scout rifle carry is always at your service!
The short answer is yes, this weapon has the biggest damage across all scout rifles, even with the buffs. And with certain equipment — primarily the ones keeping your guardian alive — you can become nigh unstoppable, endlessly shooting the rifle for massive damage. If that wasn’t enough, Touch of Malice now also has an alternative fire mode, which lets it temporarily blind your enemies, as well as making them more susceptible to damage from the Weapons of Sorrow.
Touch of Malice is in fact the only exotic you can get from the King’s Fall raid.
Touch of Malice has only 11 bullets in the magazine, however technically the ammo is unlimited and doesn’t require you to reload as long as you can keep yourself alive. Once you have only one bullet left, the rifle will start using your health to generate new ammo. For this period, your shots will be more accurate and deal 100% more damage. However, that can and will result in your death if you won’t do anything to heal yourself while firing this gun or regenerating your health in any other manner.
It’s also worth mentioning that after gaining ten stacks from shooting the enemies, the gun can release a Darkness Bolt that poisons and blinds the enemies, as well as making them 50% more susceptible to damage dealt with the Weapons of Sorrow, such as Touch of Malice itself.
Even worse: with how low the rifle’s drop rate is, you’ll likely have to do this raid over and over again until you finally get the weapon. It drops from Oryx, the Taken King himself, the last boss of the King’s Fall raid, so there isn’t much you can do to avoid doing the raid. However, you do have an option to use Overgear’s Destiny 2 Touch of Malice gun carry service and forget about doing the raid altogether, cause we’ll do it for you!
Majority of the players should get their Touch of Malice within the first 10-20 completions of the raid, however it’s also statistically possible to do over a hundred attempts and still get nothing. Whether you get this weapon this week or months later, sadly, heavily relied on nothing but pure RNG. Instead of wasting your time on fruitless runs, just leave the tedious grind to Overgear’s Touch of Malice exotic scout rifle D2 boost and do the things you actually enjoy!
The final bullet in the magazine regenerates itself and deals bonus damage. As long as you keep firing, you never reload — but you sacrifice health, making smart positioning and kills essential.
Precision hits charge a Darkness projectile that can be fired to blind enemies and control space. It’s similar to Taken Captain blights and adds strong utility despite the weapon being Kinetic.
The Catalyst grants Rapid Hit, increasing stability and reload speed after precision hits. This greatly improves the weapon’s feel and consistency in long engagements.
