4.9What is Radiant Echoes?
Radiant Echoes is a pre-launch mini-event, lasting from July 30 to August 26. All the players from levels 10 to 70 are welcome to participate. Blizzard announced, that all players, with or without The War Within expansion on their account, can face the challenges of the Radiant Echoe’s foes and fight side by side with other heroes.
Here are some quick facts to help you navigate the WoW Radiant Echoes:
- Start: July 30;
- End: August 26;
- Event Location: Dalaran (hub), Dragonblight, Dustwallow Marsh, and Searing Gorge;
- Level: 10 – 70;

Radiant Echoes Rewards
Rewards are what all players look for when defeating powerful World of Warcraft enemies. Here, in Radiant Echoes, you can also receive valuable rewards for your bravery. Residual Memories that we accumulate throughout the encounters are spent on the reward items. All it takes is to find a vendor within a zone:
- Dalaran: Remembrancer Amuul in Chamber of the Guardian;
- Dragonblight: Echo of the Silver Hand at Wyrmrest Temple;
- Dustwallow Marsh: Forgotten Hero at Tabetha’s Farm;
- Searing Gorge: Memory of a Duke in the Iron Summit.
Above is the list of the available rewards from vendors. Among the most interesting lots you can find unique event battle pets: Remembered Riverpaw, Remembered Construct, and Remembered Spawn.
Then, Recruit’s Reagent Bag (a Warbound 30 Slot Reagent Bag) for 2000 Residual Memories is among the list of rewards. This item is generally useful, especially for lower-level players.
Also, two mounts allowing air travel — for Horde and Alliance players — will be available to purchase for 20000 Residual Memories:
- Remembered Golden Gryphon — Teaches you how to summon this mount. The capabilities of this mount depend on your Riding skill and location (Alliance only- Skyriding);
- Remembered Wind Rider — Teaches you how to summon this mount. The capabilities of this mount depend on your Riding skill and location (Horde only- Skyriding).

Radiant Echoes Gear
The event provides us with a number of useful gear items in exchange for the event currency — Residual Memories.
During the WoW Radiant Echoes Pre-Patch Event, providing that you’ve gathered all the needed reagents, you will be able to get a Band of Radiant Echoes — heirloom ring and Dalaran Defender’s Set. Gear will begin at item level 480, and the range is wide: One-Hand Swords, Two-Hand Swords, Two-Hand maces, Neck Items, etc. Champion Gear and Veteran Gear are available here too.
Dalaran Defender’s Gear also includes a ring option — Dalaran Defender’s Favor.

During the Radiant Echoes WoW pre-patch events, you are going to face several zone-changing cycles. It means that the zone will be active for a stated period, and after the timer ends, the next event zone becomes active. If you have already reached level 70, you’ll start the adventure with an introductory quest — Memories of Adventures Past with the task to go to the portrait room in Dalaran and use a glowing portal to join a Radiant Echoes event. Otherwise, players under level 70 characters will be sent directly to Dalaran. You can use the portals in Dalaran to get straight to the event staging area. Each event zone includes a return portal, enabling swift travel back to Dalaran for the next event. Active event portals are marked with a golden glow, indicating when the event is live in that zone. In the First Stage of the Radiant Echoes event WoW, players must defeat the Congealed Memories that emerge throughout the zone. You can easily team up with a few other players to vanquish these nostalgic enemies and progress to the next phase of the event. We get to see the NPCs from the previous expansion, what a pleasant flashback! Then, when the Coalesced Memory boss is defeated, we are moving forward to the Second Stage. Six random events will spawn throughout the zone, visible on your map (M). These events reflect past memories from your adventures in Azeroth, such as Kalimdor memories in Dustwallow Marsh, Eastern Kingdoms memories in Searing Gorge, and Northrend memories in Dragonblight. Tasks in these events vary, including slaying enemies from the past, settling old battles, or collecting famous items from history. Once it is done, we are moving to Stage Three. In the Third Phase, we receive a quest in each zone to defeat a specific event boss: Once a boss is defeated, Stage Four will start. The boss from Stage 3 will no longer be available for quest completion until the event restarts in that zone. By the way, bosses can rarely drop extra pieces of gear. Entering the final Stage 4 means that the Radiant Echoes have subsided. At this point, you can choose: return to Dalaran or stay in the zone to slay lingering memories and continue accruing Residual Memories from enemies. A timer in the zone will still be counting down to the next event. When ready, players can return to Dalaran and use the portal to travel to the next active zone.
