The Mounts of The War Within
World of Warcraft is a collectors’ heaven with hundreds of opportunities to start collecting something. Many players prefer transmog over anything, others like battle pets. But we, the enjoyers, like to collect mounts! In WoW Mounts are not just showpieces. They’re functional mount animals, who can help you travel miles across the world, and even carry some useful things (Auction Trader or Vendor, for instance).
Each expansion WoW brings us new mounts from several sources, and each new mount design corresponds with the expansion events. How many new mounts are in The War Within? Well, in The War Within we get an enormous variety of mounts: 95 brand-new companions, and they look stunning. As a collector, you would be amazed and will definitely want a few (or all) of the upcoming mounts in your collection. Have a look at the examples below, aren’t they cool?
Among the most recognizable mounts, we can mention the new customizable Delver’s Dirigible, KSM Diamond Mechsuit, beautiful Alunira, and cute Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee. But that’s only a tiny part of all available mounts. Most of them you can obtain in Khaz Algar zones like Isle of Dorn, Ringing Deep, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet.
The best way to discover The War Within themes and understand which mounts are available for you is to Complete the Campaigns in each zone, starting from Dornogal in Khaz Algar. But, if you don’t like to spend time on these activities, our team is here to help.
Can You Fly in The War Within?
The War Within is the first expansion, where you can fly almost from the very start. The ability to fly is now granted on Level 10. Moreover, you can now use the dynamic flight since Level 10. And what is dynamic flight in War Within? This is the feature that was first introduced for Drake mounts in Dragonflight, using vigor and a set of flying skills for speed regulation and various maneuvers.
All of the Flying Mounts in The War Within, even from previous expansions, can now use the Dynamic Flight System. It means, that even your favorite WotLK or Cataclysm or any other expansion mounts can now glide, speed up, hurl, and do whatever the drakes from Dragonflight could do.
Also, the Dynamic flight is now available at level 10. And you don’t have to collect the glyphs on each new character if you have already done it. In fact, Skyriding Glyphs are just another thing in your achievement bank.
The list of the mounts who can use the dynamic flight is huge — 450+ names of our best companions, who now fly high. If you want to see this list, go straight into our The War Within Skyriding Guide, where we gathered all the information about flying mounts in TWW and the new flight system.
The War Within All Mounts
All in all, we provide the most complete and detailed information about each available mount and prepare useful guidance tips. But we want to offer you a brief summary of TWW mounts, to let you know what is waiting for you. In the table below you can find this information.

Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.Per

Personalized Goblin S.C.R.A.Per is a rather interesting mount, mostly due to the lack of information about this green metal vehicle. The details about the acquisition of this mount have not been shared. For now, the datamined info suggests that it drops from a Gunk-Covered Thingy. Our team believes it can somehow be linked to the S.C.R.A.P. Job Event.
Bronze Goblin Wave Shredder

If it seems to you that a Bronze Goblin Wave Shredder looks familiar, you are not mistaken. It looks pretty similar to Pearlescent Goblin Wave Shredder. Dungeon Mounts
We move to the Dungeon Mounts, and here we also share the instructions. As you probably know, Dungeons are the most common activity in WoW, including Mythic+ Dungeons, which grant not only the tip-tier gear but also M+ rating and rewards for reaching specific rating milestones.

- Daily Attempt: Since Darkflame Cleft isn’t part of the Season 1 Mythic+ rotation, you can only attempt to get the Wick mount by running the dungeon on Mythic difficulty with 1-day reset.
As you see, the strategy is pretty simple, but it takes time, and some players do not like to waste it on boring dungeons. We can get you Wick’s Lead, and you will only need to wait a bit till the job is done.
Exploration Mounts
If the concept of Exploration mounts overwhelms you (e.g. you wonder “What do I need to explore?”), do not panic. Exploration simply means that you will have an opportunity to get particular mounts while exploring the open world. It includes farming Elite Mobs, gathering currency from dungeons, completing particular questlines, etc.
Alunira Mount

To obtain the Alunira Mount in World of Warcraft you need to complete a few specific tasks in the Isle of Dorn, particularly atop Dhar Oztan, the highest mountain in the region. Here’s how you can get this elusive mount:
- Collect Crackling Shards: First, you’ll need to gather 10 Crackling Shards, which have a low drop rate from various NPCs on the Isle of Dorn. These shards are essential to progress in the quest, and they are Warbound, so it should be easy to collect them, even if you play on your alts actively;
- Craft the Storm Vessel: Once you have collected all 10 shards, combine them to create a Storm Vessel, which is crucial for breaking Alunira’s protective shield;
- Summon and Defeat Alunira: Use the Storm Vessel to dispel the shield protecting Alunira, who circles the summit of Dhar Oztan. After her shield is down, you can engage and defeat her to have a chance at earning the Alunira mount.
Quite a challenge, is it? Anyway, the mount is so beautiful, that you’ll forget all the troubles you met on the way the second you see it. But if you do not want to deal with any kind of obstacles, we can get Alunira for you easily and effortlessly. Our pro players are trained professionals, who saw thousands of similar encounters.
Beledar’s Spawn Mount

Beledar’s Spawn is one of our favorites and many seek for World of Warcraft ride introduced in Patch 11.0. This rather aesthetically pleasing mount is also rather rare to acquire, which will make it even more of an asset for those who will be able to obtain it. How to get Beledar’s Spawn:
1. Location and Event: Beledar’s Spawn is a mob in the Hallowfall zone and related to a rare event. The event to summon the Beledar’s Spawn can only be called when the crystal in the ceiling of the Hallowfall becomes surrounded by a violet aura. This happens periodically every 3 hours and lasts for 30 minutes.
2. Spawning Mechanics: Beledar’s Spawn has more than one possible spawn location within Hallowfall. Getting even closer to the precise location may be almost impossible if one does not have any kind of help. If you want to mark the spots, where the Spawn can appear, use the TomTom addon and this macro:
/
By the way, Beledar’s Attunement can be purchased from Auralia Steelstrike in Mereldar (1,000 Resonance Crystals) once you have reached Renown Rank 23 with the Hallowfall Arathi, and using this item shows the coordinates of the exact location on the map.
And if you want to know the exact time till the respawn, use this macro:
/run local a=(GetQuestResetTime()+3660)%10800 print(format("\124cffa060ffBeledar's Shadow in\124r \124cffffffff%s%s%ds (%s Local Time)\124r",a>3600 and floor(a/3600).."h "or"",a>60 and floor(a/60%60).."m "or"",a%60,date("%H:%M",a+time())))
3. Fighting and Looting: When Beledar’s Spawn shows up it becomes necessary to kill it. It has a possibility of dropping upon its death. However, the probability of getting this mount may take quite several tries especially due to player competition. So, you can ask our pro players to save you time and get Beledar’s Spawn for you.
Regurgitated Mole Reins Mount

The Regurgitated Mole Reins mount is a somewhat grotesque (under)ground mount that may be obtained in World of Warcraft The War Within. How to Obtain the Regurgitated Mole Reins:
1. Summon Lurker of the Deeps: The mount drops off a rare mob known as Lurker of the Deeps. Lurker can be found in the caves of the War Within’s Ringing Deeps zone. To summon the Lurker, 5 players need to pull 5 levers simultaneously.
The coordinates of the levers:
- /way 49.46 8.81
- /way 53.90 25.29
- /way 57.62 23.57
- /way 62.84 44.64
- /way 59.05 92.39
Then, you will hear the announcement:
📋 “As the earthen machinery turns, something begins to stir in the nearby lake…”
And finally, Lurker of the Deeps will appear in the lake on the South in Opportunity Point.
2. Drop Rate: The mount has a decently low drop chance; you may need to kill Lurker of the Deeps many times to get your mount. The lockout is 1 day.
Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee Mount

Here comes one more bee mount. To obtain the Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee in The War Within, follow these steps:

Siesbarg Mount

The Siesbarg is a rather difficult and somewhat huge cool mount, which will also be a very good addition to your personal collection. But this is a very challenging one and you have to be armed with knowledge and strategy before you can overcome Siesbarg. Step-by-step instructions on how to get the Siesbarg Mount:
1. Source: It’s best to begin the hunt for a very special NPC called Tka’ktath, who can be found near the City of Threads in Azj-Kahet at coordinates [60, 62]. When you take him down, Tka’ktath can drop the Vial of Tka’ktath’s Blood, which begins the quest chain necessary to unlock the mount. The other thing that you need to deal with when facing Tka’ktath, is that it has a Spawn Timer of 6-10 hours. We recommend taking a team of other players as fights can be intense.
2. Questline: Once you get the vial, you will have to travel to Alchemy Trainer Shalba in the City of Threads. Shalba gives you several quests requiring the collection of items:
- Those Are Chitin Words — 1,500 Nerubian Chitin farmed from various spiders and Nerubian mobs, with a good drop rate;
- Venom? More Like Get ‘Em — 1,000 Nerubian Venom dropped by Faithful of Zirix mobs on the Isle of Dorn;
- A Small Ocean’s Worth of Blood — 500 Nerubian Blood found from Skyrazors or Ascendant mobs in the Burrows within the City of Threads.
3. Final Quest: Once all of the material is collected you get to begin the Witnessing Brilliance quest and the last task of it is called Consolation Flies. Completing this quest rewards you with the Siesbarg mount. Or, if you don’t feel like running back and forth, trying to get the mount, our pro players can do this for you.

Profession Mounts
Profession Mounts are basically the mounts that you can craft if you have a suitable profession. This is a special category of mounts, as only trained professionals can craft them.
Crowd Pummeler 2-30 Mount

Crowd Pummeler 2-30 is a mechanical mount that Engineers can craft in World of Warcraft The War Within. But, it can not be so easy, right? Right. Let’s break down the steps of how to obtain Crowd Pummeler 2-30:
- Learning the Recipe: In the case of the Crowd Pummeler 2-30 recipe, Engineers need to collect Pile of Rusted Scrap by turning salvage leftovers into the Pile via Pilfer Through Parts, or using newer items like Gyrating Gear. After receiving 25 Piles, one can Invent a prototype every 24 hours that can be disassembled for Hastily Scrawled Notes. Take fifteen of these notes and compile them into Comprehensibly Organized Ideas. It is an item that when used, will give you three random recipes, and if by any chance you are lucky you will find Crowd Pummeler 2-30 recipes among them.
- Obtaining the Materials: There are two ways to gather the materials needed to craft this mount:
- Buying: All these materials can be bought from Paxton Bombshell in Opportunity Point (The Ringing Deeps) but it will set you back 3,100,000 gold.
| Item | Cost Each (Gold) | Amount Needed | Total Cost (Gold) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 1000 | 100,000 | |
| 2,500 | 200 | 500,000 | |
| 5,000 | 80 | 400,000 | |
| 12,000 | 50 | 600,000 | |
| 25,000 | 20 | 500,000 | |
| 1,000,000 (1 Limit) | 1 | 1,000,000 |
- Pilfering: There is another method with potential and less costly. You need to have the Inventing tree, and the Parts profession trait, which allows you to steal the parts though the availability of this option relies on RNG (random number generator).
- Auction House: These parts can also be bought in the Auction House, check your local Auction, as the prices may vary.
After you obtain all the materials and learn the recipe, all you need is to craft the mount. And we didn’t even rob the bank for this one! Or, skip the grind and ask our team to get you Crowd Pummeler 2-30. It is really faster and easier with the help of a professional player.

Racial Mounts
The War Within grants us a new dwarven race — The Earthen, and with them comes a number of racial mounts. Surely, other races, especially allied, can also provide you with some beautiful mounts, but this time we are going to focus on the newest ones.
Reins of the Slatestone Ramolith Mount

Reins of the Slatestone Ramolith is the first racial option. To get this beautiful animal you need to get the Allied Races: Earthen achievement via unlocking the allied race. As this achievement is meta, you need to complete several tasks first:
- Complete The War Within campaign;
- Mourning Rise;
- Broken Tools;
- Merrix and Steelvein.
And you are done! Reins of the Slatestone Ramolith is yours. Or, if you didn’t plan to unlock the race but like the mount, we can help you with this and complete all the tasks for you.
Earthen Ordinant’s Ramolith Mount

Earthen Ordinant’s Ramolith is a Paladin mount. Acquiring this one only takes having an Earthen Paladin Paladin at level 10 or above. As goes from the description, you don’t have to have a max level character to get this beauty.
Raid Mounts
The Season 1 Nerub’ar Palace Raid grants us three beautiful mounts, that are worth hunting for. Their grotesque appearance is eye-catching, and the overall dark fantasy vibe will accompany you on your travels. That’s so exciting!
In Season 2 the Liberation of Undermine Raid also provides 3 mounts for the most brave and skilled players. These are mechanical inventions of the goblin race living in the Undermine, and they are truly magnificent.
Junkmaestro’s Magnetomech

Raiding is a hard challenge, but in WoW TWW Season 2 it is truly rewarding. For instance, you can get Junkmaestro’s Magnetomech mount. Here’s how to get Junkmaestro’s Magnetomech:
Complete the Glory of the Liberation of Undermine Raider meta-achievement, including Hold My Gear! and One Rank Higher.
Once all the requirements are met, you will be granted the Junkmaestro’s Magnetomech as a reward.
Prototype A.S.M.R.

Raid bosses can also provide you a mount. Prototype A.S.M.R. is one of those granted by the new raid boss. Want to get the Prototype A.S.M.R. mount? Here’s how:
- Defeat Chrome King Gallywix in the Liberation of Undermine Raid: This mount can drop from Chrome King Gallywix regardless of difficulty;
- Farm the Raid: Queue for the raid weekly until the Prototype A.S.M.R. becomes yours.
Though taking Gallywix down is a hard task, our team can help you with any raid difficulty and ensure that you get a chance to obtain a mount.
The Big G

What can be better than collecting trophys from the defeated enemy? Taking the enemy as a trophy. The Big G will basically be our last encounter in the Liberation of Undermine Raid. To receive this mount you need to defeat the Chrome King Gallywix at a Mythic difficulty.
Reins of the Ascendant Skyrazor Mount

The first Raid Mount that we will observe is the reward for Mythic Queen Ansurek. Here’s the plan on how to get Reins of the Ascendant Skyrazor Mount:
- Defeat Queen Ansurek on Mythic Difficulty: This mount is guaranteed to drop in the Nerub’ar Palace raid on Mythic;
- Collect the Mount: The Ascendant Skyrazor will drop for three players per kill until the Midnight expansion launches.
But beware the Mythic bosses. This difficulty is the highest for raids, and only a small percentage of players can deal with Queen Ansurek. It takes time, strategy, tons of consumables, and a strong raiding party. Our team can provide you with each and every point from this list, and get the Ascendant Skyrazor for you.
Reins of the Sureki Skyrazor Mount

Reins of the Sureki Skyrazor is the second mount that drops from Nerub’ar Palace Raid. How to get this mount:
- Defeat Queen Ansurek in the Nerub’ar Palace Raid: This mount can drop from Queen Ansurek regardless of difficulty;
- Farm the Raid: Continue running the raid weekly until the Sureki Skyrazor drops.
While this mount can drop from any difficulty, it doesn’t mean that it is easy to get him. You can complete only 4 Raids a week, and even this is not the biggest problem. The problem is the reliable team with no pugs, or at least the pugs who do not spoil the experience. You also need to find a group who’ll invite you regardless of your experience and ilvl. But our team can help you overcome all these obstacles and get the Sureki Skyrazor for you.
Reins of the Shadowed Swarmite Mount

And finally, a cutie patootie from Season 1 Raid — Reins of the Shadowed Swarmite. Have a look at his deep dark blue eyes! There are basically no steps to receive it, as the Swarmite is a reward for the Meta-achievement Glory of the Nerub-ar Raider:
We know that this mount is too nice not to get it, but we also know that meta-achievements take a long to complete. If you appreciate your free time, we can get the Glory of the Nerub’ar Raider for you, and you’ll get the mount without any effort.

World Event Mounts
In World of Warcraft In The War Within, world events are rather important in providing fresh and exclusive content. These include the Worldsoul Memory Event and the Awakening the Machine Event which people can come across in different zones of the new expansion.
Such activities are engaging, so we strongly recommend you participate at least once in each of them. But what’s more important, they grant rewards such as mounts, gears, and very many others. These events can be found using the markers on the world map or by taking part in seasonal content which includes these activities. And here we share the information about mounts that you can get from these events.

Kah, Legend of the Deep Mount

Machine Defense Unit 1-11 Mount

For the fans of mechanics and machine-like mounts, we offer to check the Machine Defense Unit 1-11 Mount. To obtain the Machine Defense Unit 1-11 mount in World of Warcraft In The War Within it is necessary to attend Awakening the Machine World Event that takes place in Khaz Algar. To participate in the event you need:
- Talk to Speaker Kuldas in Gundargaz in the Ringing Deeps;
- Aid Speaker Kuldas in the Ritual Hall in the Hall of Awakening.
As you will have a preliminary fight prior to the final combat, you have to complete some kind of objectives in the zone. For example, defeating empowered mobs that appear throughout the event, and healing Speaker Kuldas, if possible. The Awakening the Machine event can end if Kuldas dies, if you get killed, or if you kill the Awakened Phalanx on Wave 20. You will still receive the rewards for each 5th wave that you’ve defeated. Otherwise, if you leave, the progress will be wasted.
Once you complete the event, Speaker Kuldas will be waiting for you in Gundargaz with Awakened Cache as a reward. And if you are lucky enough, you will get Machine Defense Unit 1-11.
This obtaining path is a bit challenging and long, and if you do not like to deal with tedious tasks, our team adores it. We can get you the Machine Defense Unit 1-11, and you’ll chill doing things that you like.
📋 The Machi-ne… Defen-se… Unit… will be yours… before you know… it! 🤖

- Go to the Daetan Swiftplume nest located in Elwynn Forest or Durotar and search for a large Golden Egg. It can spawn around the area, so it might take a while to find it;
- Drag the egg to the nearby nest, you can do this solo or with other players. Don’t run too fast or too far, or the rope will break;
- Place the egg in the nest. This will trigger Daetan Swiftplume to appear. Then, use a Duck Potion and the boss will land on the ground;
- Talk to him and defeat!

In-Game Shop Mounts
It’s not a secret that Blizzard offers some of the most beautiful mounts in the In-Game shop. These mounts can only be obtained by purchasing them there, which makes them somehow unique. Luckily, buying a mount from the shop is not and has never been a pay-to-win thing, as they just offer cool appearances, not mechanics. So, let’s see what options are available now.
Charming Courier Mount

Charming Courier is one of the cutest mounts on our list. It can be obtained straight from the In-Game shop for the price set in your region.
Gigantic Grrloc Mount

Gigantic Grrloc is promised to be the third biggest Murloc you’ve ever seen, which makes him a good choice. However, currently, this mount is not available in the shop, and can only be found in the database.
Algarian Stormrider Mount

Algarian Stormrider is not the option that can often be found in other TWW Mounts Guides. However, we consider it a notable mention. Obtaining this stunning gryphon is only possible when becoming an owner of Heroic Edition: Algarian Stormrider.
If you are already the owner of the TWW expansion, you can pay some extra coins to obtain the Heroic edition and get the Stormrider. If you do not have the expansion yet, consider buying the Heroic edition.

We promise this investment is worth it, as the Algarian Stormrider is one of a few customizable mounts, alongside Dragonflight Drakes and Delver’s Dirigible. The options for customization are rich, and your Stormrider can be unique. But, you can not only customize the Stormrider but also get the Stormraces transmog set for yourself — Ensemble: Thundering Stormrider’s Attire.
For this, you need to win the following races:
- Ruby Lifeshrine Loop in Waking Shores;
- Fen Flythrough in Ohn’ahran Plains;
- Vakthros Ascent in Azure Span;
- Tyrhold Trial in Thaldraszus;
- Stormsunder Crater Circuit in Forbidden Reach;
