Midnight Dungeons Overview
With the release of Midnight, eight new dungeons join the WoW instances roster. This time, they are related to four main zones of the expansion: Quel’Danas, Harandar, Voidstorm, and Zul’Aman.
| Quel’Danas | Harandar | Voidstorm | Zul’Aman |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magister’s Terrace | The Blinding Vale | Nexus Point Xenas | Den of Nalorakk |
| Murder Row | Voidscar Arena | Maisara Caverns | |
| Windrunner Spire |
Aside from providing a battleground for group runs, each Midnight dungeon tells a story related to the lore. For instance, the Windrunner Spire leads us through the history of the Windrunner family, and in Murder Row, the fight against the smugglers looking for fel trophies. Four of these dungeons are a part of the seasonal rotation, meaning you will eventually complete them as a part of your Mythic +10 runs, solely or with our pro players.
Seasonal Dungeons in Midnight
Midnight has a seasonal dungeon rotation system, just like the previous expansions. Not all new dungeons are available simultaneously on Heroic and Mythic difficulties. The Midnight dungeon rotation applies to the Heroic level dungeons and above, but all dungeons follow a set of basic rules:
- Heroic, Mythic0, and Mythic+ use seasonal rotation. Only a specific set of dungeons is available each season.
- Normal mode remains unchanged. All eight Midnight dungeons are always available in this mode, without the addition of seasonal legacy instances.
- Heroic and Mythic are more difficult than Normal and offer better rewards.
- There is no timer in Heroic and Mythic. There are also no affixes, additional mechanics, or restrictions on changing talents or specializations within the dungeon.
- You can join a random or specific Heroic via the Looking For Group (queue).
- Mythic0 has a daily lockout; you can only complete each dungeon once per day at this difficulty.
- If a dungeon is not part of the current seasonal rotation, you can’t complete it in Heroic, Mythic0, or Mythic+, only through the basic specific dungeon LFG.
The Midnight dungeon rotation in Season 1 includes the following dungeons:
Mythic dungeons also follow the same rotation, but with the empowered mechanics. Read more in Midnight Mythic+ Guide.
