The War Within Undermine
In Patch 11.1 players will get a chance to explore a new zone — the Undermine, a goblin city of progress. In The Undermine you’ll face the continuation of the main storyline, but the details are yet to be disclosed. Additionally, in The War Within Season 2, you’ll become a participant in the internal Cartel conflict. Later in this guide, we will share the intricate details about 4 major Cartels and your role in their wars.
You might have noticed how many new maps have been added in the recent add-ons, and The War Within is no exception. A new map brings new challenges and activities, as well as it becomes a framework for a new raid.
Liberation of Undermine Raid
As mentioned previously, Liberation of Undermine is a new Patch 11.1 raid that will become available with the launch of TWW Season 2. Liberation of Undermine Very Rare Drops
The Liberation of Undermine raid will grant a bunch of Very Rare item drops that will become the most wanted reward for any raid member. The item level of a rare item will depend on the raid difficulty:
- LFG — 639;
- Normal — 652;
- Heroic — 665;
- Mythic — 678.
Liberation of Undermine offers 4 Very Rare Drop items. Among them a ring, fist weapon, 2-hand mace, and a cloak.
| Slot | Ring | Fist Weapon | 2H Mace | Back |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Boss | Gallywix | Mug’Zee | One-Armed Bandit | Sprocketmonger Lockenstock |
| Item | The Jastor Diamond | Capo’s Molten Knuckles | Best-in-Slots | Test Pilot’s Go-Pack |
Getting a Very Rare Drop is no easy task. Firstly, because they are indeed rare: sometimes the drop rate is no higher than 0,01%. Secondly, due to the low drop rate you have to lock in for a raid numerous times in a row, which is a bit problematic due to the weekly reset. If you want to get any of these Rare Drops but you value your free time, ask our team to help you.
Gallagio Loyalty Raid Renown Track
In the WoW TWW Liberation of Undermine raid, you can earn renown with Gallagio. The higher the renown, the better the rewards will be. And, to be honest, they are truly valuable. Here’s an approximate renown track for Gallagio Loyalty:

| 4 | Neutral | 42000 | 3000 |
| 5 | Friendly | 45000 | 6000 |
| 6 | Honored | 51000 | 12000 |
| 7 | Revered | 63000 | 21000 |

Reaching new heights of renown will reward you with the following bonuses:

- Basic Liberation of Undermine Raid Skip;

- Renown 17, 19: Dinars;
📌 Note: There will be a separate upgrade track for Dinar-purchased items with 14 ranks and will cap at Myth 6/6 item level (678).
Undermine D.R.I.V.E.
In WoW Season 2 Patch 11.1, you will spend the majority of your free time exploring the Undermine area, and for this purpose, you will need the best possible vehicle. Since you can’t fly in Undermine, you will need to travel by some kind of ground mount, and that’s what D.R.I.V.E. is for. It’s not about just a new customizable ground mount, D.R.I.V.E. Kart, but a new system of roads that will allow you to travel way faster than ever.
From one of the recent Blueposts we’ve learned that you’ll be able to “rule the streets of Undermine, living your life 440 yards at a time”. This is probably a hint as to how fast can this dynamic ground mount, D.R.I.V.E. Kart, move. In the Undermine Preview video, it was said that the Kart should be 3x – 5x faster than the usual mount. Blizzard also promises that this vehicle will set a new standard for customization:
“You can also further adjust your cart’s driving characteristics – Do you prefer grip, or do you want to drift more? You want more acceleration (even if it’s gonna come at the expense of your top speed)? That’s up to you!”
🔍 Blizzard Bluepost.
It’s unknown yet whether this feature will be used strictly in the Undermine or it will have a chance to expand further in Khaz Algar zones. Future updates will show.
Operation Floodgate Dungeon
In TWW Season 2 Patch 11.1 we will receive a new dungeon full of danger — Operation Floodgate. It can be found in the Ringing Deeps. The Dungeon will be available immediately with the Patch 11.1. New Delves Content
The War Within Delves is an activity that is still popular among players of all levels. Therefore, in Patch 11.1 Delves receive their fair share of seasonal updates. First of all, Brann Bronzebeard has received a Tank specialization. Now you can easily pass any Delve with a reliable NPC frontlaner. Secondly, Gobtrotter, a new customizable mount, will also become available as a part of Delve’s rewards. Our The War Within Mounts guide will share the details about this mount and how to get it.
New World Event S.C.R.A.P.
In Season 2 of The War Within we will have a brand-new world event — S.C.R.A.P. It combines the spirit of adventures and the goblin vibe. Once in a while you will come across garbage piles. Do not hesitate to dive and dig into them, as they can be rather rewarding! What to do during the S.C.R.A.P. event?
- Pick up a “Reduse. Reuse. Resell” quest from Carlo Greasegring while in Undermine;
- Shovel Trash Piles. One pile is active for about 5 minutes;
- Once 1000 Trash Shoveled, you will get a reward.
This event is an opportunity to farm new currency — Empty Kaja’Cola Cans. You will see a Kaja’Cola dispencer close to the Pile area. You can buy various stuff using this currency; including pets, G-99 Breakneck upgrades and a toy. Completing the related quest will reward you with Cartel reputation.
Cartels of Undermine Renown
The War Within Undermine is the heart of the goblin cartel’s conflicts. Here you will dive deep into goblin culture and become a part of it. There are 4 Major Goblin Cartels in the Undermine zone:
- Steamwheedle;
- Blackwater;
- Bilgewater;
- The Venture Company (Venture Co.).
You will meet the famous heads of each cartel like Monte Gazlowe, Baron Revilgaz, Marin Noggenfogger, and other notorious goblins. Each cartel, or faction, offers you to work for them in exchange for valuable rewards. You’ll be able to earn some currency, e.g. Valorstones, Crests. Additionally, if you are hardworking and loyal, The Topskimmer Special can become your greatest reward. Want it? Achieve the desired Cartel Renown with our help and the mount is yours.
Season 2 Role-Based Tier Sets
The War Within Season 2 Tier Sets in Patch 11.1 differ from the usual Tier Sets that we are all used to. The difference is in the bonuses that they will bring. Now, we will have both a role-based bonus and a specialization-based bonus. Here are a few notes on the new Tier Sets:
- Role-based bonuses represent specific buffs, e.g. “Luck of the Draw!” and “Insurance!”;
- 2-set Bonuses are now Role-based and 4-set Bonuses are specialization-based;
- Ways to acquire Tier Sets do not change in Undermine Patch 11.1.
Undermine PvP Arena
PvP lovers will get a chance to fight on a newly presented Undermine PvP Arena in Patch 11.1. This Arena is designed for the most brave and skilled players. The Arena can be found at the top of the Goblin capital city map in the Demolition Dome area. It will also be added as a PvP Arena map. Our team can assist you with 3v3 Arena to get the newest TWW Season 2 rewards.
Warbands UI Update
We can not but mention that the Warbands screen will see some major changes. Many players have admitted that the new screen added with The War Within expansion is interesting, but a bit boring and lacks customization. Well, now there’ll be more features to adjust the screen to your preferences.
Now, you will be able to pick the background, i.e. location where your camp is set. You can pick one that you like or randomize it. The available locations are:
- The original campfire;
- Cultists’ Quay, Hallowfall;
- Gallagio Grand Gallery, Undermine;
- Freywold Spring, Dornogal;
- Ohn’ahran Plains, Dragon Isles.
To sum up, WoW The War Within Season 2 promises to be bountiful and fruitful for players looking for new content. All the activities, including a new Patch 11.1.5, the first Patch 11.1, raid, new dungeon, updated delves, and renowned farming offer you a ground for new discoveries. The story of Xal’atat will continue within the Undermine zone, so good luck and be well!
