The War Within Skinning Benefits
In WoW The War Within, Skinning has received a few changes that make it more valuable and complex than another gathering profession for players.
- Steady Income: Skinning will always provide you with a solid boost to your gold in WoW, provided that you know the right places for material farming. Materials like leather and rare items (such as those needed for Leatherworking) are always needed to make all those pretty armor and weapons.
- Easy for Leveling: Skinning is probably the easiest and fastest way to gain levels since skinning only requires killing some beasts and skinning them. Players may also get Knowledge Points for completing weekly quests linked to professions and collecting treasures.
- Increased Resource Yield: Through investing in specializations like Tanning or Luring one can gain a lot more high-quality materials or decrease time it takes to charge baits in order to kill elite mobs.
The best way to get gold from Skinning is to take it with Leatherworking and invest your skinning materials into crafts. Our professional players can get you a pack of the needed resources for the second profession with our TWW Profession Kits service.
The War Within Skinning Changes
The War Within Skinning Profession remains pretty much the same as in past expansions, here are some changes:
- New Materials: In the expansion players can skin creatures not only for normal leathers, but for exotic things like Superb Beast Fang, and unique items like Thunderous Hide, Sunless Carapace, and Bottled Storm. These materials are needed for making higher-level armors, particularly for Leatherworking and Blacksmithing.
- Skin Types: New skins are added: Stormcharged Leather and Gloom Chitin, which drop from particular monster kinds
- New Specializations: Tanning, Harvesting, and Luring.

The War Within Skinning Leveling
Leveling up Skinning Profession is easy: just go outside of Dornogal and start skinning animals you meet on your way. There is no better place to level up your profession than the south-central coast of the Isle of Dorn at the Wanderer’s Landing near Freyhold Village to the southeast. This zone is particularly abundant with skinnable wildlife such as birds, worms, crabs, and mudskippers.
It is not necessary to farm particular zones strictly for Skinning. That’s why achieving level 100 in Skinning when you push through regular gameplay will not be difficult at all. However, if you don’t want to waste your time on leveling, our team can do it for you with WoW Skinning service.

Best Skinning Builds with Specialization
There is no definitive best Skinning Specialization in The War Within. Players generally choose Skinning for two main reasons: to get reagents for themselves or their alts or to sell whatever they can that’s worth gold.
Here you can find the build for farming reagents or selling it for fold:
- Harvesting: Begin with establishing Harvesting as your first priority; this is the base ring that should be worth 35 – 40 points at least. This will help to optimize the number of gatherings attained in the course of the study, bringing in superior quality source.
- Trophy Taker: After Harvesting reaches its maximum level, shift your attention towards Trophy Taker to raise Perception which is important for finding rare materials.
- Tanning: Make sure you sink your points (all 40) in Tanning to be assured of getting the best quality of leathers and hides from skinning.
- Luring: Luring should only be invested in the base ring, sufficient enough for its bonuses to be used for garnering rare material currencies only.
