March on Quel’Danas Raid Tier Sets

The WoW Midnight March on Quel’Danas tier sets also provide an additional way to improve your character. Unlike larger raids that drop several different tokens, this raid only has one boss that drops a tier token.

The final boss, Midnight Falls, drops a universal tier token called the Chiming Void Curio. This token can be exchanged for a tier set piece for any class, making it one of the most flexible tier drops available in Season 1. Because it works for all classes, it is highly contested in raids.

March on Quel’Danas Raid Bosses

The Midnight March on Quel’Danas raid has two bosses. Even though the raid is short, both fights play an important role in the story and serve as the final battles of the Midnight Season 1 storyline. Players must defeat a powerful void-twisted phoenix and then face the final enemy threatening the Sunwell.

WoW Midnight March on Quel’Danas bosses are:

The raid begins with Belo’ren, a phoenix corrupted by the Void that tests the raid group with mechanics based on Light and Void energy. After defeating it, players move deeper into the Sunwell area for the final encounter against Midnight Falls, the last boss of the raid and the climax of the Season 1 story.

Belo’ren, Child of Al’ar

March on Quel’Danas Raid Guide

While Belo’ren is the first boss of the raid, it is not as easy as you might think, since it is the second-to-last boss of this raiding tier. Here we have prepared a strategy for the Heroic version of this encounter, which can also be used for Normal mode as well.

Belo’ren Strategy Cheat Sheet:

  • Match your Light or Void color with the correct mechanics.
  • Take Light Dive / Void Dive to the assigned marker and soak with the same color players.
  • Place dive puddles near the edges of the room since they stay for the entire fight.
  • Kill the Ember add first, then switch to the egg before it casts Rebirth.
  • Players with the correct color intercept Infused Quills beams.
  • Trigger Radiant Echoes orbs with the matching color to create safe gaps.
  • Tanks must make sure the frontal attack hits players, or the boss gains a damage buff.
  • When the boss reaches 0%, prepare for the egg phase and reposition after the crash.
  • Use Heroism/Bloodlust and major cooldowns during the egg phase, not the phoenix phase.
  • Later phases become harder with healing reduction and extra Ember adds.

Belo’ren, Child of Al’ar Strategy

The fight against Belo’ren, Child of Al’ar, is built around Light and Void colors. During the encounter, players receive either a Light Feather or a Void Feather, and most mechanics must be handled by players with the same color.

If the wrong color interacts with a mechanic, it usually causes heavy damage or death. Tanks always have opposite colors, which helps control the boss mechanics. Before the fight begins, place a few raid markers around the room because several abilities must be handled in the same spots every time.

Phase 1

At the start of the fight, the boss quickly casts Light Dive or Void Dive on a player. The targeted player should run to the assigned marker, and players with the matching color should move there to soak the impact. The dive leaves a puddle that never disappears and slowly grows, so these should always be placed near the edges of the room. After the dive, an Ember add appears along with an egg. Kill the Ember first, then switch to the egg and destroy it before it finishes casting Rebirth.

Throughout the phase, players must continue handling color mechanics correctly. Infused Quills creates a beam that must be intercepted by a player with the same color. Radiant Echoes spawns colored orbs around the area; players with the matching color should trigger them to open safe gaps in the room. If the wrong color activates an orb, the player will usually die from the damage. Tanks also need to manage a color-based frontal attack. Each tank should position the boss so that the frontal hits players with the matching color. If the frontal hits no one, the boss gains a strong damage buff for a short time.

Phase 2

When Belo’ren reaches 0% health, the boss flies up and crashes down with Death Drop, starting the egg phase. The raid should gather near the most recent puddle and quickly reposition after the crash, often using a Warlock gateway to avoid the knock-up effect. During this phase, players must stand in cones that match their color while continuing to clear Radiant Echoes to create safe areas. This is the most important damage window of the fight, so use Heroism/Bloodlust and major DPS cooldowns here, not during the phoenix phase.

After about 30 seconds, the boss returns to phoenix form, and the fight repeats. Each egg phase adds a permanent healing reduction, which makes the fight harder over time. Later cycles also spawn two Ember adds instead of one, so the raid must swap targets quickly and control the adds while still destroying the egg in time. If players manage their colors correctly and keep the room organized with dive puddles, the fight becomes much easier to control.

Midnight Falls

March on Quel’Danas Raid Guide

As the final boss of Season 1, Midnight Falls hasn’t been publicly tested on PTR realms, and thus, there is no information on this fight. However, we will make sure to update this guide as soon as the raid releases or more information becomes available.

Here is some information about the Midnight Falls fight that we currently know:

  • Keep the boss in the middle of the area so everyone has space to move.
  • Move out of void zones and other ground effects quickly.
  • Spread out to avoid extra damage from overlapping mechanics.
  • Healers should use cooldowns when the raid takes heavy damage.
  • Mechanics become more frequent later in the fight, so stay alert.
  • Use DPS cooldowns to finish the fight faster.
