What Are Hero Talents?

Hero Talents are the new WoW The War Within feature, representing a new, self-contained talent tree for each spec. Players who reach level 71 will be able to unlock the feature of Hero Talent choice and claim new talents level from level till lvl 80. This Tree offers unique brand-new talents to enhance each of the new, reworked, or existing class abilities and spec talents.

Each character can activate one Hero Tree at a time, with the flexibility to switch between them similar to how class talents are currently managed. There are three Hero Trees available per class, except for Druids, who have four, and Demon Hunters, who have two.

Hero Talents Overview

The War Within Hero Talents Overview
Hero Talent Trees for each Class — Subject to change

New Hero Talents were just introduced for WoW The War Within expansion. They serve to add extra variability to the player’s choices, as well as new powers and class fantasies. The new tree can be found in between spec-tree and class-tree talents. Some of the newest Hero Talents synergize with already-known specialization talents.

Though the goal for Hero Talents is to grant an option to make a unique build and allow freedom to choose in World of Warcraft, we anticipate the upcoming optimized Hero Talent Builds with predetermined choices for Hero talents from pro players to appear. These talents will most likely become a permanent addition to Best Talent Builds in TWW. Anyhow, talent calculators will come in handy very soon.

Also, the talents in the new hero spec trees are mostly passive-buff-oriented. There won’t be button bloat, which is disliked by a massive WoW player base, and you won’t have to plan your key binds. But still, you will enjoy all the benefits: additional damage, including Nature damage of Magic damage, empowered critical strikes from spells, etc. Some active abilities can still be found in several Hero trees.

Each playable class was subdivided into Hero specs. Here’s the full list of them:

How many Hero Talents are there?

So, the careful study has shown, that each class got 3 new Hero Talent Trees. Each spec within the class can choose between 2 specified trees. The talent system within all of the trees is the same. Have a look at this detailed table, outlining the information in numbers:

Total Amount of TreesTrees Available for 1 specTalent Points AvailableTalents within a TreeChoice Nods within a Tree

For instance, all Warriors can select from the Slayer, Colossus, and Mountain Thane trees:

  • The Fury specialization can choose between Mountain Thane and Slayer;
  • Protection can opt for Mountain Thane and Colossus;
  • Arms can choose between Colossus and Slayer.

In a nutshell, the World of Warcraft Hero Talents system is straightforward. It will likely add some fun to the gameplay, as lots of regular talents will be affected, allowing us to test something new. The laconic WoW TWW Hero Talents Tree shouldn’t become a burden, as all the talents are clear and simple, yet strong.

We offer you the opportunity to get ready for the Hero Talents exploration and ask our pro team for a Power Leveling service. Level up fast and become one of the first players to unlock Hero Tree access at level 71.
