In the Dragonflight expansion, the developers decided to completely rework the profession system. How much the inscription has changed, we will find out in this guide.
Dragonflight Inscription Bonuses & Benefits
Inscription is one of the best professions for gold farming, successful completion of the Mage Tower (BiS trinkets from the Darkmoon deck), and raids (Vantus Runes that increase your stats in the fight with any boss).
Also, this profession is best suited for fashionistas and those who want to make money on it. Because it is the Inscription that allows you to create special glyphs that change the animation of spells.
And in the DF, especially at the beginning of the expansion, there will be even more recipes on which an enterprising scribe can earn. Manuscripts for Dragon Riding, contracts with Centaurs, Tuskars, and other new races, new Darkmoon cards, new weapon enchantments, and new mechanics for the professions themselves, which we’ll discuss below.
Dragonflight Inscription Changes
The concept of the crafting system has changed a lot, but it has changed in the same way for all professions. Here we will briefly describe the main changes, but if you want to deepen your knowledge in this matter, visit our Dragonflight Profession Overview.
Crafting Orders is one of the interesting novelties that will revive all professions. It works like an auction where you order an item and an artisan will make it for you for a fee.
Moreover, the game has a recraft function. Recraft allows you to re-craft an item to change its stats and/or effects.
Also, every profession now has a specialization. Developing one or another specialization will allow you to create many more useful items. The quality of the created item is also affected by new crafting-specific stats:
- Resourcefulness — affects the chance to use fewer reagents than the recipe calls for;
- Inspiration — affects the chance to craft this recipe with bonus skill;
- Crafting Speed —decreases the crafting speed by a certain %;
- Multicraft — % chance to craft the same item as a bonus.
Dragonflight Inscription Equipment
Dragonflight did not forget to change the work of the profession tools. Now, when you perform a profession-related action, your character picks up a quill (the tool of your profession) and generally turns into a real clerk.
In addition, there is now a separate slot for your tool in the profession window, so you no longer have to look for it in your bag.
