WoW Midnight 12.1.5 Campaign

Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Overview

The upcoming patch adds The Promise of Tomorrow, a new WoW Midnight 12.1.5 campaign that continues the story after Ula’tek’s defeat. The campaign brings us back to Quel’Thalas, Zul’Aman, and the depths of the Coiled Isle for the conclusion of the current story arc.

Ula’tek’s defeat has weakened the prison of Kith’ix, an ancient C’Thraxxi general once locked away by the Amani. At the same time, we must help maintain an uneasy peace between Quel’Thalas and Zul’Aman before facing this returning threat. Want to help the allies as fast as possible? Our Midnight Campaign service is here for you.

✏️ One of the main reasons to finish the 12.1.5 Midnight campaign early on is that it leads directly into the new one-boss raid.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 New Raid

Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Overview

A new WoW Midnight raid arrives in Patch 12.1.5. The Unbinding of Kith’ix is a focused single-boss encounter tied directly to the new campaign instead of a standalone side story.

Unlike a full seasonal raid tier, The Unbinding of Kith’ix is designed around one major encounter. This makes it closer in scope to other small mid-expansion raids, while its story connection gives it a larger role in the Midnight campaign. Also, our professional raiders can help with your first Unbinding of Kith’ix raid clearings.

Boss mechanics, difficulty-specific rewards, loot priorities, and strategies will be covered separately.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 New Delve Content

Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Overview

The biggest new solo-oriented feature in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1.5 is Labyrinths. They build on the Delve system but offer much larger environments, longer runs, dedicated progression, and more freedom in how players complete them. Labyrinths retain several core Delve ideas:

  • They support flexible solo and group play.
  • Exploration remains an important part of the activity.
  • Players continue adventuring with a companion.
  • Labyrinths contain their own progression systems and unlocks.
  • Rewards increase as players push further into the activity.

Similar to Delves, Valeera Sanguinar serves as the companion for Labyrinth content, so leveling her beforehand is important. However, Labyrinths will use a different progression and reward structure from standard Delves.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 New World Event

Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Overview

Aqir Invasions are the new WoW Midnight world events introduced in Patch 12.1.5. They take place across either Eversong or Zul’Aman and combine multiple public objectives with a final boss encounter. The Aquir Invasions event in Patch 12.1.5 includes:

  • Six possible scenario types.
  • Three combat-focused scenarios.
  • Three non-combat scenarios.
  • Eight possible combat affixes.
  • A final boss encounter.
  • Better overall results for completing more objectives during the event window.

📌 An Aqir Invasion begins every hour and remains active for 10 minutes. During that window, you move through a sequence of objectives across the affected zone before fighting the final boss.

Eight combat affixes can change how each invasion plays. They can introduce stronger Aqir, groups of smaller enemies, dangerous Void effects, burrowing creatures, protective enemies, and other modifiers.

A separate guide will cover the full event rotation, affixes, rewards, and progression once those systems are finalized.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 Gear Progression Changes

Patch 12.1.5 adds another WoW Midnight gear upgrade layer through Ascendant Venomstones. They are the Season 2 successor to Ascendant Voidcores and allow selected fully upgraded items to gain additional item levels.

Ascendant Venomstone SourceRequirement
RaidHeroic or Mythic boss
Mythic+Keystone Level +10 or higher
DelvesTier 11 Bountiful Delve
PreyNightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chest

You begin this progression through Orin Straylight near the Catalyst in Silvermoon City. The associated quest is called Ancient Depths, Ancient Venom. After completing the quest and the required research period, eligible endgame activities can reward Ascendant Venomstones.

✏️ An upgrade requires having 10 Ascendant Venomstones. They can be used on a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero, Mythic, or highest-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 Prey Catch-Up

Patch 12.1.5 makes Prey progression significantly faster for players who are behind on the Preyhunter’s Journey. The catch-up applies differently depending on the character’s current rank. The new Midnight 12.1.5 Prey catch-up works as follows:

  • Below Rank 3: each Hunt grants 4,000 Journey Progress, equal to one full rank.
  • Ranks 3–8: the first four Hunts each week grant 2,000 Journey Progress.

Another “catch-up” option for Prey is a Preyseeker’s Journey progression with our team. Our experienced players will do the Prey hunts for you, reaching any level of progression.

✏️ For characters below Rank 3, the 4,000-point catch-up takes precedence over the normal weekly bonus and does not trigger it simultaneously.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 Rewards

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 rewards are spread across the new raid, Labyrinths, Aqir Invasions, progression systems, and outdoor content. The full reward pool is still being finalized during PTR testing; thus, specific loot lists may change before release.

One confirmed major reward addition is the Sporebearer Fungal Strider, a new utility mount sold in Harandar. The mount costs 5,000,000 Gold and initially includes a mailbox and repair vendor. Currently confirmed additional utilities are:

UtilityCost
Transmogrifier500,000 Gold
Auction House1,500,000 Gold

Buying the mount and both currently available upgrades costs 7,000,000 Gold in total.

The mount itself is planned to remain on sale only during the Midnight expansion. However, access to interchangeable NPCs remains available after Midnight for players who own the mount.

WoW Midnight 12.1.5 Quality of Life Changes

There are several Patch 12.1.5 QoL changes across Warbands, Housing, Prey, and the base World of Warcraft interface. These changes are not the focus of the patch, but several affect commonly used expansion systems. The confirmed quality-of-life changes in Midnight Patch 12.1.5 include:

  • Warband Reputation: Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations become shared across the Warband.
  • Housing Floors: Floorplan Edit Mode receives keybinds for moving between floors, using Page Up and Page Down by default.
  • Blueprint Collection: Housing Controls receive a shortcut to the Blueprint Collection.
  • Neighborhood Endeavors: Public Neighborhoods can no longer receive the same Endeavor twice in succession.
  • Player Coordinates: Coordinates can appear below the minimap without an addon.
  • Coordinate Display: Coordinates can use integer or decimal values and can also be disabled.
  • Raid Frame Dispels: A new animated border can highlight units affected by something the player can dispel.
  • Dispel Overlay: Raid frame dispel effects can use an optional pulsing animation.
  • Macro Pings: Ping alerts from macros can display information provided through #showtooltip.
