Brewfest Event in WoW is an activity beloved by many players. This event has become a tradition, that awakens joy and fun in the hearts of all the WoW players every autumn. So let’s dive into its features! In our Brewfest Event Guide, we are going to cover all the essential aspects: from Date and Time to the Activities, from the mechanics and locations to rewards and achievements. Want to participate in more TWW Events? Read our Awakening the Machine Guide.
Brewfest Date and Timeline
In The War Within expansion, the Brewfest Event takes place from September 20 — October 6. Many can compare this event with Octoberfest and would be right.
The Brewfest Quests last through all the event days, so basically, there’s no progression as such. Instead, you just have a pull of tasks to complete to get the rewards. The completion of all the tasks takes up to 10 days, but if you are an experienced player, you can do it much faster. However, our pro players can do it even faster, as our team loves the Brewfest Event and can help you with its completion.
When the event starts, you can find Ipfelkofer Ironkeg in Ironforge (Alliance), or Tapper Swindlekeg in Durotar (Horde) and pick up a quest Brewfest! / Brewfest! (Alliance and Horde versions respectively).
Brewfest 2025 Changes
Brewfest 2025 adds new rewards and updates existing content. Coren Direbrew’s loot has been adjusted, and new vendors have arrived at the camps with additional items to collect.
Coren Direbrew’s gear now drops at item level 655 (1/8 Adventurer), keeping it in line with current content. He also has a chance to drop the Brewfest Barrel Bomber, a flying mount.
📌 The mount can only drop from the first Coren kill of the day, account-wide, so players only have one daily attempt per account.
Brewfest 2025 Coren Direbrew Loot
- Gear: Item level 655 (1/8 Adventurer).
- Mount: Brewfest Barrel Bomber (chance on the first daily kill, account-wide).
New vendors are now also available at the Brewfest camps. Alongside the older merchants, players will find the Creature Collector, Ensemble Vendor, and Toy Vendor.
Brewfest 2025 Vendor Locations
- Ensemble Vendors: Thalira Shadowlace (Alliance), Sylvessa Luminweave (Horde).
- Toy Vendors: Jixy Wobblebolt (Alliance), Spritz Tinkerton (Horde).
- Creature Collector: Available at both camps.
WoW Brewfest 2025 Ensemble Vendors offer new transmogrification items: Two Brewer’s ensembles, one Black and one Green. Each set includes four pieces: a beret, a shoulder cape, a belt, and a kilt. Belts cost 150 Brewfest Prize Tokens, and the other items cost 200 each.
The vendors also sell the Dark Iron’s Ceremonial Ensemble, a nine-piece set that recolors existing Trading Post gear. Each piece is sold separately, with prices ranging from 50 to 250 Brewfest Prize Tokens. A new Barrel Helm transmog piece is also available for 200 tokens. Here are all the ensemble vendor rewards in Brewfest 2025:
The Toy Vendors are selling one new item: the Brewer’s Balloon. This costs 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens and can be summoned or dismissed like other toy companions.
To sum up, Brewfest 2025 adds a new mount, gear, ensembles, and toys, while keeping the familiar event structure. Players who want gear upgrades, transmogs, or collectibles have new options to pursue during the holiday.
Brewfest Events and Activities
WoW Brewfest is a festival of fun, brewery, and quests. During its active phase, you’ll encounter numerous activities, so in this section of our comprehensive guide, we touch upon the prominent Events and Activities of the Brewfest.
Coren Direbrew
If you don’t know who Coren Direbrew is, then you are most likely a newbie. So, let us introduce this Blackrock Depths inhabitant to you. Coren Direbrew is our primary target if we want to get the Direbrew’s Dire Brew. Upon killing Coren, you receive this item, which starts Direbrew’s Dire Brew (Horde) or Direbrew’s Dire Brew (Alliance) quests, which grant us Brewfest Prize Token.
But the best part of this encounter is that Coren Direbrew drops trinkets:
When you take down Coren for the first time every day, you will get a Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest (one per day), and upon opening it, you’ll get a chance to receive:
Ram Riding
Oh, Ram Riding! The best thing for those who like to compete with others and collect Portable Brewfest Keg on a Ram. For now, you need to know that the reward for WoW Ram Riding activity is nice — you’ll get some extra Brewfest Prize Tokens, and the better you perform, the more tokens you’ll get.
To add extra fun to this competition, there are several speeds for your Ram:
- Ram Level – Neutral: 50% reduced run speed. Lose 4 Ram Fatigue every two seconds.
- Ram – Trot: +25% mounted speed. Use Ram Racing Reins every 2 steps to keep the mount on this speed. You lose 2 Ram Fatigue every two seconds when this spell is active.
- Ram – Canter: +100% mounted speed. Use Ram Racing Reins every second to keep the mount on this speed. You gain 1 Ram Fatigue every second when this spell is active.
- Ram – Gallop: +185% mounted speed. Use Ram Racing Reins constantly to keep the mount on this speed. You gain 5 Ram Fatigue every second when this spell is active.
- If you gain 100 Fatigue, your Ram becomes Exhausted Ram for 15 seconds and can’t accelerate. To lower or reset the Fatigue, stop by the apple barrel.
Chowdown Minigame
Chowdown can be found in a booth near the Brewfest Camp. This is the minigame, where you can show your true self and show off your skill of eating sausages quickly. Here’s a Step-by-step Breakdown of WoW Chowdown:
1. Grab a Seat. The game kicks off when four people are seated at the table. Once you’ve found an open spot, you’re in.
2. Check Action Bar Options. You’ll notice three buttons on your action bar:
- Eat;
- Drink;
- Order more food (this will be locked until needed).
You’ll also have a progress bar that tracks your current status.
3. Eating and Drinking Mechanics.
- When you hit the Eat Button, your progress bar goes up.
- When you hit the Drink Button, it decreases the bar, so use this to manage your progress carefully.
3. Watch the Progress Bar. If your bar hits 100, you’ll start choking, which will slow you down for a few seconds. You want to avoid that!
4. Order More Food. After you’ve eaten 3 times, your next step is to hit Order more food to refill your plate.
5. Become the Winner. Your goal is to be the first to finish 10 plates of food. Keep eating and managing your progress bar until you hit that milestone!
Keep in mind: there’s a cooldown for abandoning. If you decide to quit the game early, there’s a 6-minute wait before you can rejoin the competition.

There are three WoW Brewfest Ensemble sets available: Brewer’s Black Set, Brewer’s Green Set, Dark Iron’s Ceremonial Set.

Dark Iron’s Ceremonial Set
One of the best Brewfest Ensembles is undoubtedly the Dark Iron’s Ceremonial Set. You need Brewfest Prize Tokens to buy it; the price ranges from 50 to 250 Tokens. You need 1300 Brewfest Prize Tokens in total to obtain the full set.
Brewfest Achievements
WoW Brewfest Achievements are one of those things that many players wish to get. So, if this is your first fest, make sure to buy the essential items needed for Achievements, which cost 552 Brewfest Prize Tokens:
For European players, it’s obligatory to obtain Wolpertinger’s Tankard due to restrictions on Catch the Wild Wolpertinger! So you’ll need to pay an extra 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens for 752 Brewfest Prize Tokens total.
The primary target of any achievement hunter is to get the Brewmaster meta-achievement. Above, we have mentioned some of the specific achievements, that are included in it, but here’s the full list of the achievements you need to complete first:
- The Brewfest Diet;
- Direbrewfest;
- Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?;
- Brew of the Month;
- Have Keg, Will Travel.
And when you complete all of the above, you’ll be granted the prestigious title — “Brewmaster”.
By the way, the Brewmaster achievement is a part of an even bigger meta-achievement: What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been, which grants Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake, so visiting the Brewfest is worth the effort!
Brewfest is coming, so do not forget to save up some gold, put your best clothes on, and polish your favorite beer cup!
