In this Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope guide, we’ll take a closer look at the details of this raid. Location of main events, tactics for all bosses, loot, new tier sets for each class and much more.
In Season 3, players are introduced to the brand-new raid titled Amirdrassil, The Dream’s Hope. This journey will pit adventurers against nine formidable bosses, challenging them to confront the Druid of the Flame and Fyrakk atop the majestic World Tree, Amirdrassil. Contrary to what its name suggests, the bulk of the raid won’t unfold within or immediately around the tree. Rather, the main battles will be staged in a newly unveiled region located just to the north of Amirdrassil.
Raid Overview
Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid is the third raid that continues the story of the Dragonflight expansion. With the Druids of the Flame’s aid, Fyrakk infiltrated the Emerald Dream. Instead of destroying the tree, he aimed to infuse it with a pervasive flame, seeking to engulf Azeroth in ceaseless fire. The heroes of Azeroth will have to protect another tree to prevent the world from being consumed by fire and chaos.
During Dragonflight Season 4, Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid gets a special Awakened Raid buff, becoming Awakened Amirdrassil. In this form, the raid presents a greater challenge:
- Enemies within the raid become stronger, testing your teamwork and skills.
- The rewards for defeating these tougher enemies are also enhanced. You’ll have a chance to acquire even more powerful loot with a higher item level. This includes rare items like the legendary Fyr’alath, the Dreamrender axe, and unique cosmetic customizations for mounts.

The raid is currently on the PTR, so stay tuned to this part of the guide for updates.
Gnarlroot
First boss of the new raid -this venerable guardian, who once ardently shielded the Emerald Dream, has been tragically consumed by fire. Its once-noble essence now thirsts solely for devastation.
Tanks:
- Guard against Dreadfire Barrage as it deals hefty damage and amplifies Shadowflame harm.
- Swiftly engage with Tainted Lashers post their Tainted Bloom spell.
- Players marked with Ember-Charred have the potential to set Doom Roots ablaze.
Damage Dealers:
- Stand close to inactive Tainted Lashers if targeted by Controlled Burn to awaken them.
- Those branded with Ember-Charred can set Doom Roots on fire.
- Gnarlroot becomes more vulnerable, taking double damage when affected by Uprooted Agony.
Healers:
- Be alert! Tortured Scream deals extensive damage across the raid.
- As Gnarlroot uses Potent Fertilization, he releases increasing damage to all participants.
- Each time Uprooted Agony is dispelled, Gnarlroot gains an Uprooted Agony stack.
Igira the Cruel

Igira wields her Blistering Spears to harness torment as energy from her adversaries. When she reaches peak energy, she employs Marked for Torment, setting various zones alight. Depending on the chosen zone by players, Igira’s weaponry evolves and gains enhanced capabilities.
In Mythic mode, Igira crafts dual weapons during Marked for Torment, merging their strengths in her strikes.
Tanks:
- With Shared Agony, Igira’s close-combat blows also impact the subsequent nearest opponent.
Damage Dealers:
- The longer one remains under the effect of Blistering Spear, the greater the torment amassed by Igira.
Healers:
- Those marked by Heart Stopper pose a threat of detonation upon the natural expiration of the aura.
- Every Harvest of Screams stack augments Igira’s damage output.
Volcoross
Volcoross, the gargantuan viper, reduces everything in his path to ashes with his fearsome Scorchtail Crash, while adversaries are left gasping from the engulfing Coiling Flames.
When his energy peaks at 100, Lava serpent emerges from molten lava, drenching the battlefield with the searing Flood of the Firelands.
Tanks:
- The intense Cataclysm Jaws damage is magnified further by the Molten Venom.
- On max energy, Flood of the Firelands spews two large molten projectiles that threaten to overrun the arena unless intercepted.
- Beware of Scorchtail Crash, as it delivers fatal blows to those directly beneath.
Damage Dealers:
- Coiling Flames gradually intensifies its damage around a player, then seeks a new victim.
- When energy tops off, Flood of the Firelands hurls two lava globs that can engulf the arena unless halted.
- Avoid the devastating impact of Scorchtail Crash.
Healers:
- Monitor those affected by the escalating damage of Coiling Flames.
- At full energy, ensure players counteract the two molten splashes from Flood of the Firelands to safeguard the battleground.
- Keep an eye out for victims of the perilous Scorchtail Crash.
Council of Dreams
Players confront the Council of Dreams, composed of the formidable werebear Urctos, the eco-centric dryad Aerwynn, and the deceptive faerie dragon Pip. When their energy peaks at 100, each member of the council launches their signature moves: Blind Rage, Constricting Thicket, and Song of the Dragon. If a council member’s health drops to a singular point, they invoke Rebirth from the Dream, but this fails if their counterparts are similarly weakened.
Tanks (Normal, Raid Finder):
- Beware of Urctos’ Agonizing Claws, causing Physical damage and making targets more susceptible to subsequent Agonizing Claws.
- The impact of Urctos’ Barreling Charge lessens as more participants share its force, simultaneously disrupting Aerwynn’s Constricting Thicket.
- If Pip’s Song of the Dragon remains unchecked, it triggers Captivating Finale (Nature damage).
Tanks (Mythic, Heroic):
- Urctos releases Agonizing Claws in a frontal spread, causing Physical damage and intensifying vulnerability to ensuing Agonizing Claws.
- Ensure that the force of Urctos’ Barreling Charge is distributed among players to lessen its impact and halt Aerwynn’s Constricting Thicket.
- Counter Pip’s Song of the Dragon to prevent the onset of Captivating Finale.
Damage Dealers:
- Dispelling Polymorph Bomb affects those nearby but also influences Urctos during his Blind Rage.
- Dilute the potency of Urctos’ Barreling Charge by ensuring multiple players absorb it, and simultaneously counter Aerwynn’s Constricting Thicket.
- Evade the effects of Pip’s Song of the Dragon to prevent Captivating Finale.
Healers (Normal, Raid Finder):
- Be cautious when Polymorph Bomb is dispelled as it can afflict nearby players and also disrupt Urctos during his Blind Rage.
- Neutralize Pip’s Song of the Dragon to avert Captivating Finale.
- Urctos’ Agonizing Claws deals significant Physical damage.
Healers (Mythic, Heroic):
- When Polymorph Bomb is neutralized, it impacts adjacent players and also hinders Urctos during Blind Rage.
- Counteract Pip’s Song of the Dragon to prevent Captivating Finale.
- Urctos’ Agonizing Claws releases a concentrated frontal cone of high Physical damage.
Larodar, Keeper of the Flame
PHASE 1:
- Boss spawns 3 hostile Tree Ents. Kill them to ally, then healers restore them. Once full, they charge the central Seed of Life. Keep the boss distant from ents for quick healing.
- Interact with the charged Seed to bind up to 3 players. They can now clear fire pools. On Heroic/Mythic, this bond also removes Scorching Root’s immunity.
- A Scorching Root spider targets a player. Kill it, heal it, and it transforms into a protective bush. During Raging Inferno, stay inside the bush to cut damage by 90%.
- Boss pushes the tank; distance reduces damage. On Heroic, it reduces raid damage too. The boss’s charge produces fire pools.
INTERMISSION:
- At 40% boss health, brace for Consuming Flame. Use defense skills and strong heals for 16 seconds.
PHASE 2:
- Absorb spawning Ember circles. Avoid landed orbs.
- Players with a circling arrow (Flash Fire) must distance from the raid. Healers must remove their shield in 8 seconds or they’re stunned for 20.
- Boss spawns many adds heading towards him. Control and stagger kills to manage raid damage, giving healers time to restore the group.
Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

The Emerald Dream’s allure is intensified by Nymue’s enigmatic spells. The environment brims with magic, not to mention those lush underlings.
Tanks:
- Guard against Nymue’s Threaded Blast. It’s potent. Use your cooldowns strategically.
- With Weaver’s Burden, distance from the team before it ends to minimize their damage.
Damage Dealers:
- Cycle Wardens is your primary target as they emerge. Space them out to mitigate the Protector’s Shroud impact.
- Neutralize Violent Flora to harness the advantageous Inflorescence effect.
Healers:
- Stay alert during Viridian Rain; all will need your care.
- Monitor those hit by Drowsy Expulsion. They’re vulnerable to amplified damage, so maintain a vigilant watch.
Smolderon

Smolderon demonstrates his prowess as a Firelord, wielding Emberscar to brand adversaries with Brand of Damnation and searing them with Overheated. When his energy peaks at 100, he drives Emberscar into the ground, seeking to siphon players’ vitality and drowning enemies in a World In Flames.
Tanks (Normal):
- Lava Geysers spawn expansive areas of Smoldering Ground, dealing massive damage.
- Becoming a target of Brand of Damnation induces a significant healing reduction but designates you as a potential source of Living Flames.
- Gathering Living Flames augments both your damage and healing efficiency. (Raid Finder, Normal)
Tanks (Heroic, Mythic):
- Lava Geysers birth vast swaths of Smoldering Ground.
- The primary recipient of Brand of Damnation is tormented with Searing Aftermath.
- Brand of Damnation brings forth a potent healing impediment but labels you as a potential progenitor of Living Flames.
- Absorbing Living Flames amplifies your damage and healing prowess.
Damage Dealers:
- Receiving Brand of Damnation imposes a healing curtailment but earmarks you for generating Living Flames.
- Harnessing Living Flames boosts your damage potential.
- Being proximate to allies while Overheated imperils them.
Healers:
- Players with Blazing Soul trigger Blistering Heat, dealing intense raid-wide harm.
- Incurring Brand of Damnation sets a formidable healing restraint but tags you for birthing Living Flames.
- Channeling Living Flames escalates your healing and damage efficiency.
Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame
Tindral, a master of shapeshifting, adopts diverse Druid forms to challenge players.
- The boss encounter begins in a humanoid form. While humanoid, he ensnares players using Mass Entanglement and showers them with Falling Stars.
- In Moonkin form boss abilities change. He releases Sunfire upon everyone and casts Fire Beam, scalding the arena.
- When he embodies the Treant of Flame, he emits Suppressive Ember and torches players with Tranquility of Flame.
- Assuming the form of the Flame Owl, he drops Empowered Feather, letting players ascend on dragonback.
Tanks (Normal):
- Tindral’s strikes inflict a burning sensation via Searing Wrath.
- He sprouts Blazing Mushrooms that detonate, causing fatal harm. (Raid Finder, Heroic, Normal)
Tanks (Mythic):
- Tindral’s hits afflict foes with Searing Wrath.
- He spawns Wild Mushrooms that explode, wreaking havoc unless intercepted by a player.
Damage Dealers:
- Tindral shields himself with an absorbent barrier when channeling Supernova.
- Mass Entanglement constricts players, demanding the roots be shattered.
- Dispelling Fiery Growth results in Scorching Ground.
Healers:
- Eradicating Fiery Growth spawns Scorching Ground.
- In his Treant visage, Tindral applies Suppressive Ember on players, hindering healing significantly.
Fyrakk the Blazing

As the confrontation with Fyrakk unfolds, he invokes Firestorms, cloaking the heavens. Every instance of Fyrakk’s Wildfire results in the proliferation of Raging Flames. When Fyrakk’s health depletes to 70%, he endeavors to Corrupt the Heart of Amirdrassil.
To defend the sacred world tree, Spirits of the Kaldorei rise, prompting Fyrakk to breathe life into the shadowflame through Shadowflame Devastation.
In his final, most potent form, Fyrakk reveals himself as an Incarnate, and the world tree commences the genesis of the Seeds of Amirdrassil.
Tanks:
- Each of Fyrakk’s assaults against a player, while under the influence of Mark of Fyr’alath, deals considerable shadowflame damage.
Damage Dealers:
- Raging Flames, when connected to Amirdrassil’s heart via Wildfire, ignites the venerable tree, Amirdrassil.
Healers:
- With the portal ajar, Dream Rend metes out profound Shadowflame damage to all participants.
- Fyrakk intermittently sets combatants Aflame.
This guide covers everything you need to know to defeat each of the 9 bosses of the Amirdrassil Raid, as well as what rewards and achievements await you for completing it. We will update this guide as new information becomes available after the raid launches.
