In 2024 WoW is on its 20th Anniversary, and we all are invited to share this special moment with other players in Azeroth. The celebration of World of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary starts on October 22, 2024, and will last till January 6, 2025. It will be held outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. It’s time for all of us to get back from the dark depths of the War Within expansion and remember good old days.
World of Warcraft Anniversary Rewards
Throughout these WoW Twentieth Anniversary Celebrations, players can gain a number of rewards and anniversary items by joining special events. We are going to share the details about all the possible Anniversary Events further in our guide, but first check all the amazing rewards that you’ll be able to get.
Key rewards include:
- Anniversary-themed Mounts, Pets, Toys, and Transmogs;
- Special Achievement Titles that come with every anniversary challenge;
- Timewalking Badges, which are a currency used when purchasing past expansion-themed rewards;
- Transmog Appearance Sets, bringing back old memories of Tier 2 Sets for each class.
How to get WoW 20th Anniversary Rewards:

New Currency For WoW Anniversary Rewards
Bronze Celebration Tokens are a new anniversary currency added for the 20th WoW Birthday, this is kind of updated version of the Timewarped Badges. Tokens can be earned through participation in the anniversary-themed activities, joining the Blackrock Depths Raid, completing quests, and taking part in PvP brawls.
Here’s the detailed list of possible activities for earning Bronze Celebration Tokens:
- Complete Daily Anniversary Quest — Celebrate Good Fun!;
- Participate in Weekly Anniversary Quests — The Originals, Soldier of Time, Chromie’s Codex, An Original Path Through Time and Disturbance Detected: Blackrock Depths;
- Do not forget about the Weekly Events of Khaz Algar — Theater Troupe, Awakening the Machine, Wax Collecting, Spreading the Light and the Severed Threads Pacts: Severed, Threads, Pacts;
- Finally, check Weekly Quests of Khaz Algar — Meta Quests and Weekly Reputation Quests.
Anniversary Mounts
Good news: The 20th Anniversary allows players to get special mounts commemorating the rich history of WoW. These are themed around important moments, characters, or zones from the two-decade legacy of the game. During the WoW 20th Anniversary Event, you’ll be able to get a lot of different mounts, and we share them all here.
First of all, we have a new Mount that will be available during the 20th Anniversary WoW celebration — a Blue Armored Pheonix — Reins of the Coldflame Tempest, a stunning winged beast that will become one of your favorites the moment you get it. This mount is awarded for completing the A Cool Twenty Years meta-achievement, which requires dealing with these challenges first:

Another surprise brought by the 20th Anniversary of WoW is Mount Mania. This game event is really fun and all the mount collectioners will appreciate it. How to participate in Mount Mania? Here’s a guide:

- Look closely at the mount shown by Abigail Cyrildotr on the stage — 🦣;
- Pick a matching mount from your collection — 🐘-❌, 🦣-✅;
- Done!
The winner will be the one who gets the most points for matching mounts, so make sure that your collection is big enough.

Gates of Ahn’Qiraj World Event
There’s one new thing that we are going to see during the 20th WoW Anniversary — Gates of Ahn’Qiraj World Event, during which you will be accompanied by Chromie and her Codex. Codex of Chromie is meant to revisit the past, and it will help us on our way and, as Blizzard says, “send out of place enemies in the sands of Silithus back to where they belong”.
List of Gates of Ahn’Qiraj requirements:
- Minimal Level — Level 15;
- Groups — 10-20 players;
- Queue via Group Finder;
- Enemies of the Past — Scourge, Legion, and Qiraji;
- Event Bosses — Tichondrius, Ossirian, and Kel’Thuzad.
Codex of Chromie Event is an integral part of the celebration, but not everyone wants to spend precious moments on things they do not enjoy. If you are one of those players, we can have your back, just reach out to our team and we’ll complete the Event for you.
Korrak’s Revenge PvP Quest
The 20th Anniversary offers PvP lovers the Korrak’s Revenge Quest. From previous anniversaries we know that sometimes it takes a few minutes to queue via the Group Finder, but the average waiting time usually doesn’t exceed 3-5 mins.
WoW Anniversary World Bosses
How do you like the old bosses from previous expansions, which were your rivals for so long? Well, here they are! Six bosses will wander Azeroth and wait for you to fight them and try to loot some exceptional rewards. Let’s figure out what bosses are in the World of Warcraft Anniversary:
- Dragons of Nightmare;
- Doomwalker;
- Azuregos;
- Lord Kazzak;
- Sha of Anger;
- Archavon the Stone Watcher.
Requirements to participate in World Bosses Event:
- Be at least Level 15;
- Have an ability to fight;
- Ask Overgear for assistance with World Bosses and skip the grind.
New Blackrock Depths Raid
The iconic dungeon Blackrock Depths returns to help celebrate the 20th Anniversary of World of Warcraft, with a twist: for a limited time, it will become a raid. This nostalgic design choice brings back classic feelings from that dungeon into your modern gaming experience, so we’ll get the updated challenges to be fitting for today’s content level. Classic bosses like Emperor Dagran Thaurissan will stand in line with anniversary-themed encounters, so prepare yourself for formidable fights flavored with retrospectives.
A very important Note: Each Raid Boss drops 3 Timewarped Relic Coffer Key, and each Mini-boss drops 1-2 Timewarped Relic Coffer Key. These Keys can be used to buy loot from Relic Vendors: Braggi Brazenbrass (Raid Finder Blackrock Depths loot), Kraegan Emberforge (Normal Blackrock Depths loot), Hilda Hellforge (Heroic Blackrock Depths loot).
How to Complete Blackrock Depths
Completion of the renewed Blackrock Depths Raid requires to meet certain conditions:
- Available for a limited time only during the Anniversary Event;
- Requires a pre-made 10-15 group of players that are level 70 or higher;
- Queue via the Raid Finder or speak to Moira the Bronzebeared for Normal and Heroic difficulties.
So, what you need to do, is find a large enough group and smash the bosses in this epic raid!
Blackrock Depths Rewards
It was promised that the Blackrock Depths would grant exotic and iconic old loot droppings for Epic Boss Raid encounters. Special achievement titles, and event exclusives await to celebrate 20 continuous years of WoW. With Chromie participating in the Anniversary with you, the ilvl of the Raid Gear would be relevant for the current patch.
