World of Warcraft Dragonflight is the ninth Wow update, where you need to explore five new zones, learn about the complete redesign of professions, and many more new things. Alchemy is an interesting profession with many different Phials and Potions with a wide range of uses. In this guide, we’ll go deeper and tell you about the changes, bonuses, and specializations of the Alchemy profession.
Dragonflight Alchemy Bonuses & Benefits
Being an Alchemist means creating useful flasks and potions for all sorts of content, from basic stat boosts to speed boosts or invisibility potions. So, this profession is helpful for personal use and gold making through Auction House.
New bonuses and recipes that are waiting for you:
- One of the most significant changes for potions in Dragonflight is the addition of Potions Cauldrons, which give potions to your group or raid: Potion Cauldron of Power, Fleeting Elemental Potion of Power, Potion Cauldron of Ultimate Power, Fleeting Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power, Empty Kettle of Stone Soup;
- Also returning is a new version of the player’s favorite Potion of Prolonged Power;
- The new Phials, which replaced the Flasks, count as both a Battle and Guardian Elixir and also provide unique buffs that can be useful in different situations. Here are some of them: Phial of Tepid Versatility, Phial of Static Empowerment, and Phial of Charged Isolation.
- The Alchemist trinket reduces potion cooldowns to 4 minutes instead of 5, and this carries a lot of weight in the raid for certain fights;
- Toxic consumables – some Alchemy consumables are labeled “toxic”. Toxic consumables give you both positive and negative effects, which reduces the usability of the consumables like Toxic Phials (Phial of Icy Preservation, Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage) and Toxic Potions (Potion of Chilled Clarity, Potion of Withering Vitality);
- Two new potions used while dead on a dead ally or on yourself when you’re dead: Residual Neural Channeling Agent, Delicate Suspension of Spores;
- A few more interesting consumables that alchemists can make: Bottled Putrescence, Potion of Gusts, Cauldron of the Pooka, Suspiciously Fuzzy Drink;
- Two Alchemy Stones: Sustaining Alchemist Stone increases the duration of your active phial by 60 seconds, Alacritous Alchemist Stone reduces the cooldown of combat potions by 60 seconds;
- Cauldron of the Pooka is a feast that regenerates mana and offers some kind of transformation instead of a well-fed bonus.

Dragonflight Alchemy Equipment
In Dragonflight, Blizzard made beautiful visuals for each specific profession. So, when you perform an action related to a profession, your character visually turns into special equipment. See what the Alchemist profession will look like, they will have a hat, robe, vials, and flasks. Note that this equipment cannot be transmogrified.
The developers have allocated a place in the inventory with three slots for equipment. Accessories occupy two slots, and one slot is occupied by a tool. Later, another weapon slot will be added, so it won’t take up space in your bag, and you won’t have to switch from tool to weapon every time.
