Home World of Warcraft Achievements What to do in Shadowlands until it’s too late

In this guide, we will list the opportunities that will turn to dust once Dragonflight finally rolls in. Whether you want to grab them or watch them fade away along with the rest of Shadowlands is up to you, but here they are.

Things to do before Dragonflight Pre-Patch

There are some things that will become unavailable as soon as the pre-patch kicks in. See if there’s anything you might be interested in.

Mythic+ Achievements and Rewards

Restoration Deathwalker Mount

If you want the Deathwalker mount in your collection, you need to attain at least a 2,000 Mythic+ rating during Shadowlands Season 4. For that, you will need to complete 8 dungeons during the Tyrannical week and 8 more during the Fortified week on Mythic+15. If you complete the dungeons on a higher level of difficulty, you might need less runs overall.

Carcinized Zerethsteed Mount

If you feel you absolutely need this four-legged creature in your WoW life, hurry up and get the Carcinized Zerethsteed mount quest item. For this, defeat the Jailer, the last boss in the Sepulcher of the First Ones on Heroic difficulty or above. After the Dragonflight launch this option will no longer be available.

We Are All Made of Stars Heroic and Mythic Achievements

If your heart yearns for glory, you still have the option to earn We Are All Made of Stars achievement. To attain it you will need to:

  • defeat Rygelon in Sepulcher of the First Ones;
  • be under the effects of Herald of the Cosmos while doing it;
  • stay alive the whole time (but you can reset the encounter if you fail this condition).

This is available on non-Fated and Fated raids.

Drop Rate for Mounts Decreases

All Shadowlands raids will change to Fated for the rest of the expansion. This means that Vengeance’s Reins and the Fractal Cypher of the Zereth Overseer mounts will be harder to get.

What to do in Shadowlands until it’s too late

Currently the bosses each drop two of their respective mounts – Vengeance’s Reins from Sylvanas Windrunner (Mythic) and the Fractal Cypher from the Jailer (Mythic). However, once the Dragonflight launches, they will only drop one each. Don’t forget, that Overgear is always ready to help you get these epic rewards.

Things that will stay and become easier

Well, it’s not all pain and suffering. Some things are actually bound to make your life easier in other aspects.

  • Farming Torghast is expected to be a walk in the park. Mounts and achievements associated with it will just be that much faster to obtain;
  • The same can be said for farming other local meta-achievements. Things, again, will become quicker for you, with no particular need to camp rare mobs and compete with other players on locations. Mobs will be way easier to kill once you’ve reached 70 lvl;
  • Protoform Synthesis mounts might be easier to come by. You will most likely be strong enough at this point to farm the necessary resources faster.

So, is there anything you’ll rush to get just in time before Dragonflight? Or are you past all of this Shadowlands jazz and just wait for the new launch to be released already?

Don’t forget to give this review 5 stars and good luck with your adventures!
