Zereth Mortis Flying in Patch 9.2

Players will be able to use their flying mounts in Zereth Mortis after they unlock flying with completing the achievement Unlocking the Secrets, a series of six achievements. This will unlock Flying in the Zereth Mortis zones account wide, of course, unless you forgot to unlock flying in Shadowlands first. We will give you full details about how and when you will be able to finish this for all your characters.

Basic Shadowlands Flying

If you don’t have flying in Shadowlands yet, this is how you open it before you start opening Zeteth Mortis Fling in patch 9.2. Since Patch 9.1, Chains of Domination, players are able to earn flying in Shadowlands. However, this time around, you don’t need to complete a Pathfinder achievement to earn Shadowlands flying – Instead, Shadowlands flying is learned directly from the item Memories of Sunless Skies! Using the Memories of Sunless skies item will unlock account-wide flying in the Shadowlands. You get this item after completing the Korthia questline. So, make sure you unlock this before trying to open Zeteth Mortis Flying.

How Long Does it Take to Unlock Flying in Patch 9.2?

All of the achievements are available on the first day of 9.2. The one and only difficulty with all these achievements is that A Means to an End will be time-gated on launch. This will become available at the start of week 4. So it will take more than 3 weeks to unlock Zereth Mortis flying in Patch 9.2.

Flying Requirements in Patch 9.2

The meta-achievement you will need to complete, Unlocking the Secrets, has six achievements you must complete to earn flying account wide. Four of the six achievements have no special requirements to unlock them; two require completing specific chapters of the 9.2 Campaign.

Explore Zereth Mortis

Explore Zereth Mortis simply requires exploring the Zereth Mortis zone. Just visit all the locations in the zone to unlock the achievement.

  • Path of Inception
  • The Great Veldt
  • Terrace of Formation
  • Deserted Overlook
  • The Dread Portal
  • Genesis Fields
  • Pilgrim’s Grace
  • Arrangement Index
  • Resonant Peaks
  • Haven
  • Faith’s Repose
  • Catalyst Gardens
  • Dimensional Falls
  • Provis Fauna
  • Zovaal’s Grasp
  • Plain of Actualization
  • Lexical Glade

Curious Collections

You must discover 5 hidden treasures in Zereth Mortis for Curious Collections. Any 5 will count. Most of these have specific puzzles you need to complete to access the hidden treasures and get credit for the achievement.

Tales of the Exile

Tales of the Exile involves finding the 7 pages of “Firim in Exile” across Zereth Mortis. They are easy to spot, as you will see a large yellow dot on the ground. However, they disappear a short time after a player has looted it. It will respawn anywhere from 5-10 minutes later.

Adventures in Zereth Mortis

Adventures in Zereth Mortis requires to kill 10 rare mobs in Zereth Mortis. There is nothing special about this achievement as you can easily find lots of rare mobs all around the zone. You can use something like a RareScaner addon to find rare mobs faster.

Path to Enlightenment

This achievement will be available after completing Chapter 3 of the 9.2 Campaign, Forming an Understanding. (This is also the chapter you need to complete to unlock the Zereth Mortis introductory skip for your alts).

Path to Enlightenment involves completing three side quest lines in Zereth Mortis. These contain multiple quests per line, and most earn reputation with The Enlightened.

A Means to an End

At first you need to complete Chapter 5 of the 9.2 Campaign.

The A Means to an End achievement requires completing A Means to an End, the sixth chapter of the Zereth Mortis 9.2 campaign. This will open at the beginning of Week 4

Complete the final quest Arbiter in the Making to finish this storyline chapter. This will probably be the last achievement that unlocks flying in Zereth Mortis in 9.2, so congrats on that.

Enlightened reputation

Reputation in Zereth Mortis is quite important, as, for example, you will increase the level of crafting items up to 262 with Recipe: Crafter’s Mark of the First Ones. Will add the Memory of Unity to your account, allowing you craft your Covenant Legendary in any slot, which is extremely useful for some classes. You will get an Eternal Augment Rune, which is Shadowlands Augment Rune with infinite charges. When used, increases your Primary Stats by 18 for 1 hour. You will also be able to purchase some mounts, such as Heartlight Stone or Anointed Protostag Reins. So, the earlier you unlock flying in patch 9.2, the faster you get all of these items, as you will fly around the Zereth Mortis killing all the rare mobs and doing local quests much faster.
