In new patch 10.1.7 two new Heritage Armor Sets for Undead and Night Elves will be added. That’s why in this guide we want to tell you about what Heritage Armor Sets are, what are allied races, how to unlock them, and finally how to get Heritage Armor Sets for all races.

What are Heritage Armor Sets?
In WoW patch 8.0.1 Blizzard added new races for each faction that are slightly different from main races. They called them allied races. In order to get them you will need to have characters from level 40 and higher, at least one, on your account.
So what is so different about these races? They have their own unique lore and race abilities. Also, after you unlock allied race, you will get themed mount. And what are Heritage Armor Sets? Heritage Armor Sets are cosmetic armor available for all allied and almost all core races, except trolls. Each set has its own requirements to unlock.
How to get Heritage Armor Sets?
As was mentioned above each set has its own requirements to unlock. For some sets you will need to get an exalted reputation with associated faction and complete a short questline. For each allied race you will just need to complete a short questline.
There are a few things that will prevent you from receiving your Heritage Armor Set, so be sure not to use any of the following:
- Character Boost tokens
- Faction change into your Allied character
- Race change into your Allied Character
Heritage Armor Sets are cosmetic rewards and they can be transmogged into any type of armor. And, of course, they’re race-bound items and cannot be transmogged by other races.
