Rainbow Six Tactics Release Window

The new title from Ubisoft is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics, which is a single-player turn-based game within the Rainbow Six universe. This was confirmed by Ubisoft during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026.

Unlike Rainbow Six Siege, the new game does not have real-time FPS action but rather squad-based tactical missions where the player will play as Six and command a team of Rainbow Six operators.

Rainbow Six Tactics Release Window

The release of Rainbow Six Tactics is set to be in 2027, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The PC game will be available through Steam, Ubisoft Connect, and the Epic Games Store. As of now, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding the official Rainbow Six Tactics release date from Ubisoft.

What Is Known About Rainow Six Tactics

In Rainbow Six Tactics, each team consists of four operators, with fifteen characters from the game Rainbow Six Siege confirmed in Rainbow Six Tactics. Ubisoft has already announced such characters as Ash, Sledge, Nøkk, and Montagne.

Every character retains their unique gadgets and role on the battlefield, with progression offering individual skill trees for each operator. The team selection will have a lot of an impact on gameplay, since there will be situations requiring breaching, scouting, defending, and attacking.

Some aspects of gameplay remain familiar from the previous games of the series. Scanning the area with drones, breaching and destroying walls, destroying enemy cover, and creating new openings are possible in missions.
