Wow green proto-drake faqHow do you get reins of the green proto drake?You get the Green Proto-Drake mount for completing the Frenzyheart/Oracles quest chain, becoming Revered with the latter and then buying Mysterious Egg from Geen NPC with some gold. The egg takes three real-life days to turn into Cracked Egg and reveal one of possible rewards, one of which is Green Proto-Drake mount. 
To start the factions’ quest chain, start by doing “The Part-Time Hunter” quest in Sholazar Basin. And to do that, just go towards the Skyreach Pillar and kill the black lion called Pitch (50.6 76.6). The rest will be fairly linear, up until “A Hero's Burden” quest, where you’ll need to choose the Oracles side by killing the Frenzyheart NPC and keeping the Oracles NPC alive. 
Can you get green proto-drake at revered?Yes! It can be easy to miss out, but you don’t have to reach Exalted reputation with the Oracles to buy the Mysterious Egg and get a chance for the Green Proto-Drake. That being said, some achievements and rewards require you to be Exalted with factions, so don’t do any haste decisions.    
Can you switch from frenzyheart to oracles to get the mount?Despite the rather dramatic performance during which you choose whose side to pick out of these two factions, the stakes aren’t actually as high as the game wants you to believe. If you want to switch from Frenzyheart to Oracles and get the Green Proto-Drake mount or vice versa, “A Hero's Burden” quest is what you need. 
Either you already know what we’re talking about or yet to encounter it if you’re yet to gain reputation with either faction, but either way, the quest will involve you fighting Artruis the Heartless and choosing between NPCs of each faction. Done once, you’ll be able to replay this quest anytime, once a day. In other words, if you want to change the sides, simply seek out the lich and keep the one NPC you need alive. 
How to get cracked egg wow?Cracked egg is the result of the Mysterious Egg simply lying in your inventory for three days. Now, to get the Mysterious egg, you have to become Revered with Oracles faction (Sholazar Basin) and then buy it from Geen for a bit of gold.
How long does mysterious egg take to hatch?It takes the Mysterious Egg three days to hatch and turn into a Cracked egg, which will contain your reward. You can also carry only one Mysterious Egg in your inventory at the same time so you won’t be able to stockpile them in your inventory even if you have an extra reputation to spend. For better or for worse, you’d have to wait for 3 days before getting another chance to obtain the mount.
Can you still get the green proto-drake?Yes, Green Proto-Drake is still available for players to get the same way as before, by hatching a Mysterious egg provided by the Oracles faction. Though, now there’s also an option to get it from Black Market. 
What comes out of a mysterious egg?Even after you got your hands on a Mysterious Egg, there’s still no guarantee that you’ve got the Green Proto-Drake as your reward. And, of course, the mount has the least drop chance of them all. After three days, Mysterious Egg turns into a Cracked Egg, with one of these items inside of it:
Aged Yolk (consumable)
Cobra Hatchling (pet)
Tickbird Hatchling (pet)
White Tickbird Hatchling (pet)
Proto-Drake Whelp (pet)
Reins of the Green Proto-Drake (mount)
