WoW Race to World First in Midnight

Liquid has claimed World First for Race to World First in World of Warcraft this time, earning themselves the World First kill on L’ura, Midnight Falls. It marked the conclusion of Season 1 of Midnight following 474 attempts. Method’s live tracker confirmed this kill on April 6, 2026, pointing out that Liquid had scored their fourth consecutive World First win.

This particular event marked itself as quite an extended one due to the unusual release pattern, with Midnight’s Tier One being distributed through three raids — Dreamrift, Voidspire, and March on Quel’Danas — with the latter being opened just on March 31.

The biggest news of this race was about L’ura itself. When it seemed like Liquid had nearly clinched the victory early on in the run, the boss pulled out another ace up its sleeve. It unveiled an additional phase in the raid, turning the end of the run into a showdown between Liquid and Echo. Live streams of the event saw both teams going back and forth with low percentage kills, and just when it seemed that Echo would come out on top, Liquid made its move and scored the win.

We continue to cover the race in our WoW Race to World First guide.
