Speaking with pop culture website “But Why Tho?”, Assistant Lead Quest Designer Stephanie Yoon and Senior Game Producer George Velev addressed several lore and class-related questions. Unsurprisingly, the topic of a Demon Hunter third spec came up — and while no concrete confirmation was given, their words have sparked renewed speculation.
Is a New Demon Hunter Spec Coming in Ghosts of K’aresh?
The upcoming Ghosts of K’aresh expansion promises a lot of lore development for several classes — and Demon Hunters are very much included. When asked about the possibility of a new spec or class, George Velev responded:
“In terms of a new class or spec, we have nothing to announce, but it does sound really cool.”
While vague, that line was enough to set off another round of speculation in the community. Especially considering that data miners have already uncovered a void-touched character model that looks unmistakably like a Demon Hunter.
