Blizzard has officially announced World of Warcraft: Forever during BlizzCon 2026. The long-awaited Classic-style project will launch on November 4, 2026.
The World of Warcraft Forever beta begins this Thursday, September 17. It will give players their first chance to explore the expanded Azeroth before launch.
World of Warcraft Forever New Content
Warcraft Forever expands the original Azeroth with Mount Hyjal, Rivenglades, a new island, and larger versions of existing zones. Players can also expect:
- New dungeons and 10- and 20-player raids.
- New skills and talents.
- More race and class combinations.
- A new playable race called the Skyborne.
- New battlegrounds, professions, items, and reputations.
- More than 1,000 new quests.
- A major visual update for the original world.
Warcraft Forever appears to be Blizzard’s answer to the long-requested Classic+ concept. It keeps the old-school foundation while adding completely new adventures across Azeroth.
