Blizzard revealed the first stages of the World of Warcraft Forever roadmap during BlizzCon 2026. Beta testing begins on September 17, followed by the full launch on November 4. Forever (WoW Classic+) will run alongside Modern WoW and Classic as a separate, permanent version of Azeroth.
World of Warcraft Forever Beta Start Date
The Warcraft Forever beta opens on Thursday, September 17. Access comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection pre-purchase.
The beta will let players test new zones, class changes, talents, dungeons, and other additions before release.
World of Warcraft Forever Launch Content
Warcraft Forever launches on November 4 with the following content:
- Mount Hyjal, Zephras Isle, and Riverglades.
- Expanded versions of original Azeroth zones.
- The new playable Skyborne race.
- Undead Paladins and more race-class combinations.
- New skills and talents.
- New dungeons and 10- and 20-player raids.
- The Darkspear Islands battleground.
- More than 1,000 new quests.
- New profession content, reputations, items, and rewards.
- Account-wide perks and updated world visuals.
- A toggle between original and updated graphics.
Blizzard has not shared a phase-by-phase post-launch schedule yet. The studio plans to develop Forever as a permanent home that can grow through future content updates.
