WoW Forever Hardcore servers will not launch on day one. Blizzard confirmed during BlizzCon 2026 that while Hardcore is planned for Forever, it will be added later after launch. The estimated WoW Forever Hardcore release date is December 9, 2026.
While we don’t know the full extent of WoW Forever Hardcore features, Blizzard has announced that there will be Hardcore-exclusive PvP Legacy challenges and account-wide perks that persist after character death.
📌 The developers have also confirmed that Hardcore characters can be transferred to a non-Hardcore server after they die.
