The release of new dungeon hotfixes in The Burning Crusade Classic is set for April 14, which will be done through scheduled maintenance. This fix is designed to address TBC Dungeon Leveling with groups wherein some characters are found inside the dungeons without participating in any gameplay, while one character completes the dungeon. According to Blizzard, this practice creates negative economic effects.
How Blizzard Deals With Dungeon Boosting and Gold Farming
TBC Anniversary players must be involved in combat to gain dungeon experience following the implementation of the patch. In addition, players in high-level dungeons will also have their loot from non-boss monsters depending on the number of group members involved in the attack.
📌 Blizzard also noted that normal dungeon groups should see little to no difference after these adjustments. The main target is passive boosting and gold farming setups rather than standard group runs.
With these changes, alternative leveling methods like TBC Power Leveling should be especially helpful. It doesn’t put you into AFK position and thus does not make you suspicious at all.
