Grinding Gear Games has announced Return of the Ancients, the next major content update for Path of Exile 2. The Path of Exile 2 Return of the Ancients Update release is set for May 29 at 1 PM PDT. That is 9:00 PM Central European Time. The update will launch on PC and consoles.
GGG will reveal the update in full during the next GGG Live showcase. The stream starts on May 7 at 1 PM PDT. During the broadcast, the team will show the revamped endgame, talk about the new content, and hold a Q&A with the developers.
Path of Exile 2 has been in Early Access since December 6, 2024. The game is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Patch 0.5.0 was previously described by GGG as a very large update, so this reveal should be a big one for endgame players.
