Grinding Gear Games has confirmed the Path of Exile 2 full release date for December 11, 2026. Path of Exile 2 Version 1.0 launches after almost two years in Early Access. The announcement arrived during Gamescom Opening Night Live alongside a new release trailer.
Path of Exile 2 becomes fully free-to-play on December 11. Early Access currently requires a supporter pack or an eligible access key. Once version 1.0 arrives, new players can enter Wraeclast without paying for access. The current Path of Exile 2 build runs on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Grinding Gear Games lists the release date according to Pacific Standard Time.
What Comes With Path of Exile 2 Version 1.0
The full release will complete the campaign with its final two acts and add a large batch of other content. It will also expand the endgame, character progression, skills, and loot. GGG has not published complete 1.0 patch notes, so many mechanical changes remain unknown. The full Path of Exile 2 release will include the following new features and content:
- The final two acts of the campaign, completing the main story.
- A major expansion of the endgame and Atlas systems.
- New character progression options and additional skills.
- More weapons, items, and loot.
- New enemies, bosses, and areas.
- Additional league and endgame systems developed during Early Access.
- The Duelist class, focused on fast sword-based melee combat.
- New Duelist skills and Ascendancy options.
- The transition from Early Access to the free-to-play Version 1.0 release.

New and returning players can register on the official Path of Exile 2 website before launch. Registration provides release updates and contributes toward exclusive community milestone rewards.

Duelist Joins Path of Exile 2
In addition to this, the new trailer reveals the Duelist, which is a melee class that revolves around using swords. This will finally provide gamers with an option that was missing for so long, as people used other weapons for the past few months.
