Amazon Games has officially confirmed that Season 10 Nighthaven will be the final major update for New World on both PC and consoles. After four years of expansions, system reworks, and the console release of New World Aeternum, the developers announced that continued content development is no longer sustainable.
Will New World Be Available in 2026?
While no new content will be released in New World, developers have promised that the servers will remain online through 2026 to allow players to keep exploring Aeternum. New World Aeternum will also stay available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
Despite the end of development, Amazon assured players that bug fixes, world bosses, and limited-time events will still continue. After years of adventures and countless wars across Aeternum, this marks the closing chapter of one of the most ambitious MMORPGs of the decade.
