The Path to Doomsday event will begin in April 2026. According to the official Marvel Rivals social channels, the launch will likely coincide with Season 7.5.
Unlike typical seasonal events, this one will run for most of the year. The roadmap leads all the way to December 2026, when Avengers: Doomsday premieres in cinemas. During that time, Marvel Rivals will gradually introduce new themed content inspired by different MCU moments.

Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday Event Announced for the game. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Marvel Rivals. NetEase has revealed a new long-term in-game event called Path to Doomsday, which will tie the game directly to the upcoming MCU movie Avengers: Doomsday.
The event will celebrate the Marvel Cinematic Universe and revisit some of the most iconic moments from the Infinity Saga. New modes, villains, cosmetics, and possibly even playable characters are expected to appear throughout the year.
Path to Doomsday New Features
One of the first features revealed for the Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday event is a new asymmetrical 6v1 PvP mode. In this mode, one player controls a powerful villain, while six players fight as heroes.
The first featured villain will be Loki. He will receive enhanced abilities and wield an Infinity Stone, allowing him to manipulate enemies and even turn them against each other. This mechanic mirrors Loki’s mind-control scenes from The Avengers. Meanwhile, the hero team can trigger a special event where Hulk joins the fight, recreating the famous “Puny God” moment at Stark Tower.
As with most Marvel Rivals events, new Path to Doomsday cosmetics are expected to accompany the Path to Doomsday content. Many of the upcoming skins will likely be inspired by MCU costumes from the Infinity Saga. Some fan-favorite possibilities include:
- Scarlet Witch — Age of Ultron outfit;
- Star-Lord — Infinity War suit;
- Black Widow — Avengers movie design;
- Ultron — MCU version;
- Thor — Endgame “fat Thor” skin.
These movie-accurate cosmetics are expected to arrive throughout the event timeline.
