HOME Elden Ring Upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign Patch Hit With a Delay

FromSoftware has announced a short delay for Elden Ring Nightreign

FromSoftware has announced a short delay for Elden Ring Nightreign patch 1.02, pushing the release to July 31. The decision was made following tsunami alerts in Japan after a major earthquake near Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. Nearly 2 million people were affected by evacuation orders.

What to Expect With the New Elden Ring Patch?

The update will finally add the Duo Expeditions mode, a highly requested feature that lets players run content with just two teammates instead of being forced into trios. This change addresses one of the biggest complaints from Nightreign’s launch, where solo players were often paired in unbalanced teams.

Alongside duos, the patch includes small UI improvements like better Relic filtering. FromSoftware also confirmed that the second cycle of Everdark Sovereign is delayed and will launch after patch 1.02. Although Nightreign had a rocky start, the game currently holds a positive Steam rating, and this update might help bring back players looking for a smoother multiplayer experience.
