Kadokawa’s latest earnings call gave fans two major updates: Elden Ring Nightreign has outperformed expectations financially, and its first premium DLC is officially in development — with a release planned before March 2026.
Elden Ring Nightreign Continues to Grow
Launched in May 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign surprised players by blending the traditional Souls-like experience with roguelike progression and up to three-player co-op. Since launch, FROM Software has released a number of updates aimed at improving balance and expanding play. A highlight was the new Duo Expeditions mode, tuned specifically for two-player runs after community feedback.
Elden Ring Nightreign New Modes
Even as players wait for major content, Nightreign keeps evolving. The September update introduced the Deep of Night mode — a much harder version of the game’s popular roguelike mode with randomised Nightlords and enhanced loot. It also allowed players to adjust dungeon “depth” and added rank protection so that players would be able to experiment more with builds without losing progress.
