A new collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and CD Projekt RED has been unveiled. In this collaboration, The Witcher 3 comes to Battle.net, and a Geralt-like cosmetic will be featured in Diablo 4. The collaboration was announced by both studios at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026.

Players must pre-purchase The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past through Battle.net to unlock the skin. Anyone who buys the expansion through Blizzard’s platform after release will also receive the cosmetic. Songs of the Past will launch in 2027, although CD Projekt RED has not shared an exact date.

Blizzard currently describes the reward as a “Geralt-themed skin.” The companies have not shown its design or named the Diablo 4 class that can equip it. This wording suggests a cosmetic outfit, not Geralt as a separate playable character. More information will arrive during BlizzCon in September.

The partnership starts with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, arriving on Battle.net on September 29, 2026. This version improves visuals, combat, movement, monster behavior, mount handling, witcher signs, and the skill tree. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine also come with the package.

📌 Existing owners on qualifying platforms will receive Remastered as a free upgrade. The updated game will also launch natively on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its Battle.net version.

Songs of the Past continues Geralt’s story in the new region of Letten. At first, the area looks peaceful, with harvests, festivals, and local folklore. Naturally, something nasty waits beneath that calm surface, including new enemies and an ancient threat. The story will also put the fate of Geralt’s closest friendship at risk.

The Diablo 4 x The Witcher crossover remains fairly small for now. Still, the two worlds fit together almost too well. Sanctuary already has the monsters; it only needed someone carrying silver and steel.
