Treasure Goblins are back in Diablo 4 with the return of the March of the Goblins event for Season 9. From July 29 to August 5, there will be bigger Greed Shrines, and the chance of obtaining their upgraded items. Even rare Resplendent Sparks could be a reward.
What is March of the Goblins in Diablo 4?
In Diablo 4 March of the Goblins is a limited-time event. During the event, Treasure Goblin spawns are significantly increased, and new Goblin variants are introduced. First presented in the Diablo 4 anniversary event, the March of the Goblins became an overnight sensation because loot was given for free.
A later version of the event that appeared in Season 7 included six different types of goblins as well as a Kyovashad Goblin Statue that enabled kill tracking and event loot. The current system is the same; this time, though, everything didn’t go according to plan.
Currently, most are stating that the Goblin Statue is not accessible in the game, thus not able to monitor the event or the reward chests. Blizzard also confirmed the bug and is now fixing the issue. If the bug isn’t fixed, they’ve promised to continue it after the end date of August 5.
📌 Note: There is no confirmation if there will be a repeat of the March of the Goblins event in Season 10. Consecutive appearances, however, are already suggesting that Blizzard is open to experimenting with more in-game surprises throughout the season.
