According to Haroutunian, players who reach the highest Diablo 4 leaderboard ranks will earn special titles and halos, which act as visible status symbols in Sanctuary. These D4 items are tied to the specific character that earned them, not the account — meaning if your Barbarian takes first place, only that character gets to wear the halo. “It belongs to that guy,” Haroutunian explained, highlighting the exclusivity of these rewards.

Blizzard wants The Tower to be a “high-integrity space,” ensuring the leaderboards are fair and competitive before the new cosmetics go live. Developers are still finalizing how often leaderboards will reset and when exactly players can start earning these exclusive rewards. Haroutunian emphasized that while the system is coming, fair play and balance are the team’s top priorities before releasing them.
