A fresh leak suggests that Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred may feature more than just the Paladin as its new playable class. The expansion was officially announced at The Game Awards 2025, where Blizzard confirmed two brand-new classes. One of them, the Paladin, was revealed right away and tied to pre-orders. The second class, however, was deliberately kept secret — at least officially.
That secrecy may not have lasted long. According to a recent leak spotted on Reddit, Diablo 4 dataminer inudax found new Lord of Hatred artwork inside the 2.6.0 PTR files. The image reportedly shows the Paladin fighting alongside an unknown class that appears to use blood-based magic. Even more interesting is a filename linked to the asset: “2DUI_Expansion2_Info_Page_01_WarlockUpdate_0”, which strongly hints at a Warlock.
If the leak is accurate, Lord of Hatred would not only introduce the Paladin, but also a second, darker caster class. That lines up with Blizzard’s original promise of two new classes and suggests players may have a clear melee option and a magic-focused alternative right at launch.
Blizzard has not confirmed the Warlock in any official capacity. Still, with Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred scheduled to release on April 28, 2026, an official reveal of the second class may not be far away — especially if Blizzard plans to test it in a future PTR cycle.
