NetEase Games has confirmed that Destiny: Rising, a new mobile entry in the Destiny universe, will officially launch worldwide on August 28, 2025. The free-to-play sci-fi RPG is already open for pre-registration on the App Store and Google Play, with players able to secure bonus rewards ahead of release. A New Destiny Story for Mobile
Destiny: Rising introduces fans to an alternate timeline that takes place before the events of the original Destiny. Players will step into the role of the Wolf, a customizable Lightbearer, while also unlocking familiar heroes such as Ikora Rey and Iron Lord Jolder. Each character wields a Relic that changes their abilities and playstyle, along with customizable Primary and Power Weapons.
The game expands on Destiny’s trademark looter-shooter formula, offering missions, strikes, PvP battles, open-world activities, and even six-player PvE content. A new Mythic-tier rarity and a brand-new weapon type will debut at launch, giving collectors and grinders plenty to chase.
Destiny Rising Regional Availability
Destiny: Rising will be available worldwide on iOS, with the exception of a few regions such as Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Armenia, China, Hong Kong, India, Macau, and Taiwan. NetEase has not yet confirmed if Android will have similar restrictions.
Destiny Rising Pre-Registration Rewards
Ahead of release, NetEase is running a global pre-registration campaign. With over 10 million players already signed up, all participants will receive launch bonuses, including 10 free draws, crafting materials, and an exclusive exotic ornament.
Players can preload the game starting August 27 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET to jump straight in when servers go live.
