Destiny 2 Episode Heresy Act 3 Release Date
Destiny 2 Episode Heresy Act 3 launches on April 1, 2025, alongside Destiny 2’s weekly reset. This marks the final major update before the anticipated release of Frontiers in the summer of 2025, which currently has no confirmed release date.

Destiny 2 Episode Heresy Act 3 New Content
This is the final chapter in the Heresy arc, likely tying up loose ends around Oryx, Savathûn, and Xivu Arath. Bungie’s keeping quiet about what comes next, but don’t be surprised if Act 3 teases where we’re headed in Frontiers.
Sunless Cell Strike
The beloved Strike from Destiny’s Taken King expansion, The Sunless Cell, returns refreshed in D2 Heresy Act 3. Bungie says the Strike’s story has been updated to fit Destiny 2’s current lore, and a new final boss is stepping in for Aluk-Hul.
Rite of the Nine
Rite of the Nine debuts as a seasonal event in Destiny 2 Episode Heresy Act 3, starting on May 6, 2025. Guardians will face tougher versions of popular Dungeons like Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher, and Ghosts of the Deep. Finish these runs and you’ll earn classic weapons with a fresh look and some spicy new perk rolls
Heavy Metal
Forget traditional Crucible rules — Heavy Metal throws Guardians into tanks and brigs for full-blown vehicular 6v6 chaos. Teams battle in Fallen Brigs and Drake tanks, delivering an entertaining, chaotic alternative to Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner.
Barrow-Dyad Catalysts
The last two Catalysts for the Exotic Strand SMG Barrow-Dyad become available in D2 Act 3 Episode Heresy, granting powerful perks — One For All and Target Lock. We don’t have the unlock steps yet, but it’ll probably be similar to what you had to grind through in Act 2. Artifact Mods
