Right before the global launch of Borderlands 4, the developers shared details about the co-op mode. This time, multiplayer is set to be even more enjoyable thanks to a brand-new feature available at release — Individually Scaling Difficulty. But what exactly does that mean?
Borderland 4 Individually Scaling Difficulty
Individually Scaling Difficulty is a new step in customizing the Borderlands 4 experience for every player. Ever played with a friend who’s way ahead of you in level and skill? Or teamed up with a newbie who just can’t handle high-level mobs? That’s no longer an issue, because players don’t all share the same difficulty anymore. The game now scales and adapts individually instead of globally, so you no longer have to prioritize your team comp over experience.

This feature is just one of many highlights Borderlands 4 brings to the table. Other additions and upgrades won’t leave players disappointed either. You’ll be able to customize nearly everything — from subtitle options to movement settings and plenty more tweaks that make the game smoother and more enjoyable.
