Apex Legends X Gundam Event Features
There’s a new game mode for the collab: Wildcard: Gundam Takeover. For this event, Broken Moon is transformed into a mech warzone with destroyed Mobile Suits all over the map and ships fighting in the air. It’s a big change in terms of visuals and definitely makes for a different look compared to normal.
Developers added big gameplay changes. Now players can pull out the Buster Rifle from Care Packages and use it to blast enemies through walls and explode. Now added the option to fly into the air for scouting, shoot beams through walls, and explode. Also added the option to use Bit Staves as shields or send them out in Drone Command mode to scout and attack enemies.
There’s also a new set of Wild Cards in the collab. These include Epyon’s Lash, Heavyarms Salvo, Zero Sacrifice, and Zero Rebirth. Each of these offers a new way of fighting in Apex Legends. These include melee pull, support with missiles, self-destructing pressure, and survival after being knocked.
Apex Legends X Gundam Event Skins
Cosmetics are a big aspect of this event, and Respawn went pretty hard on this. There are 8 Gundam-inspired Legend skins for Alter, Conduit, Crypto, Gibraltar, Mirage, Octane, Revenant, and Valkyrie, and a Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow skin in the Reward Shop. The event also offers 8 themed weapon skins, including the Buster Rifle Kraber, Destiny 99 R-99, and Aerial 301 R-301.
For melee collectors, there are two Mythic Universal Melees to earn in this collab, namely the Epyon Heat Rod and Beam Saber. Players can also earn Medals in this event and then spend them in the Reward Shop to buy additional cosmetics.
