The Game Awards 2025 All Major Announcements and Game Reveals

Among the most hyped moments at night was the revelation that Larian Studios would be working on a new Divinity game. Although very little information on it has been given, it appears to be an even larger project for Larian than Baldur’s Gate 3.

A surprise came from Creative Assembly as well with Total War: Warhammer 40,000, as it lived up to fan predictions. The upcoming strategy game will bring a legendary Warhammer 40K setting into Total War, as Space Marines, Orks, Aeldari, and Astra Militarum have been revealed as playable factions. It will be made for PC and current-gen consoles, but no release window has been given.

Resident Evil Requiem Reveal

Capcom brought several big updates. Pragmata finally got an official release date set for April 24, 2026, and a playable Steam demo. The publisher also introduced Resident Evil Requiem, which will be the ninth core Resident Evil game, and will feature Leon S. Kennedy as a playable character, set to hit stores on February 27, 2026.

Crystal Dynamics had two projects related to Lara Croft. There’s Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which revamps the first Tomb Raider and aims for a 2026 launch. Next, there’s Tomb Raider: Catalyst, an all-new core game set for 2027.

Another surprise came from people associated with Apex Legends and Titanfall, who introduced Highguard. It appears that this will be a free-to-play PvP raid game that will focus on squad attacks and shootouts. It will be released on January 26 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
