Rockstar Games has released a 27-minute GTA 6 Extended Look, offering its clearest official view of Leonida yet. The presentation follows Jason and Lucia while mixing story scenes with short gameplay sequences. Players can now watch the full video on YouTube after its Netflix debut.
GTA 6 Release Date
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version or its possible release window.
The presentation first aired through Netflix with a six-hour period before its wider release. Rockstar later uploaded the full video to its official YouTube channel and the GTA 6 website.
With less than three months remaining before launch, Rockstar still has several big questions to answer. Combat systems, open-world activities, police behavior, and GTA Online remain mostly under wraps. Still, the 27-minute GTA 6 Extended Look gives players their best official view of Jason, Lucia, and Leonida so far.
New GTA 6 Footage Shows Story and Gameplay
The new GTA 6 footage spends most of its runtime developing the relationship between Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Their simple robbery goes wrong, pulling both characters into a criminal conspiracy spreading across Leonida. From there, they must work together while dealing with gangs, police, and several dangerous contacts.
Rockstar moves between story scenes and quick slices of direct gameplay. The video includes shootouts, police chases, scuba diving, basketball, and several quieter moments around the city. Players also see different vehicles, crowded streets, nightlife, and the coastal side of Leonida.
This is not a traditional mission walkthrough with uninterrupted gameplay. Rockstar keeps the HUD hidden during most scenes and focuses on atmosphere, characters, and world details. We still do not know much about mission structure, progression, or GTA Online.
New GTA 6 Footage Was Captured on PS5
The full GTA 6 Extended Look uses in-game footage captured from the PlayStation 5 version. This includes both cinematic sequences and the shorter playable sections shown throughout the presentation.
Even the quieter scenes contain heavy traffic, large NPC crowds, detailed interiors, and plenty of background activity. Vice City looks packed without feeling like every street exists only for a chase or shootout. One moment you are watching a police pursuit, then the video cuts to someone casually shooting hoops.
Rockstar’s official website also says GTA 6 will play best on PlayStation 5. The studio has not explained which performance or visual features sit behind that claim yet.
