Question 1

Can you still get Astral Cloud Serpent Mount?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Astral Cloud Serpect is still openly available in the game. It’s a possible reward for defeating Elegon, the fifth boss of the Mogu'shan Vaults raid. The mount was available for players to earn ever since it came out in the Mists of Pandaria expansion, back in 2012.

Question 2

What is the drop rate of the Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent?

Accepted Answer

The Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent are one of the rarest mounts in World of Warcraft, dropping from Elegon in Mogu’shan Vaults (10- and 25-player, Normal and Heroic). The drop rate is extremely low — about 0.5–1% in 10-man and up to 4–5% in 25-man Heroic. This mount does not drop in LFR and has never been obtainable with bonus rolls, so you cannot use Elder Charms of Good Fortune to get it.

Even if you don’t yet have the Cloud Serpent Riding skill, the reins can still drop for you — you’ll just need to finish the reputation grind before riding it.

For collectors looking for a faster option, the Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent for sale with Overgear make the grind much easier. Instead of farming Elegon week after week, you can rely on our professional services to secure this beautiful celestial mount for your collection without the frustration of RNG.

Question 3

How do you farm Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent?

Accepted Answer

There’s no special secret in Astral Cloud Serpent’s acquisition. All you have to do is go to the Mogu'shan Terrace, enter the Mogu'shan Vaults raid and defeat all the bosses up to the fifth one, Elegon. Both Normal and Heroic difficulties will do, as well as any raid size.

Once the Elegon is defeated, Cache of Pure Energy will spawn and you’ll get your chance to get the mount. You don’t have to finish the raid to try and get the mount, but Elegon is second to last boss anyway. From that point on, it’s entirely up to luck whether you get this mount or not.

Question 4

Who drops Astral Cloud Serpent?

Accepted Answer

The Astral Cloud Serpent drops from the astral dragon Elegon, fifth boss of the Mogu'shan Vaults raid. The raid is located in the north-eastern region of Kun-Lai Summit, on the Mogu'shan Terrace, 59.7, 39. Having any kind of flying mount will make getting to the entrance of the raid much easier.

Question 5

Can you bonus roll astral cloud serpent?

Accepted Answer

Sadly, you won’t be able to use the bonus roll to get the Astral Cloud Serpent. Your only two options are either manually farming it from the Mogu'shan Vaults raid or get it from the Black Market.
