The Rivendare’s Deathcharger has a very low 1% drop chance, making it a really hard-to-get mount. Though, as funny as it sounds, the drop rate of this mount was actually increased over time, as originally it apparently had only a 0.02% drop chance. You know what they say, everything is known in comparison.
First, you need to enter the Stratholme though the Eastwall Gate, Eastern Plaguelands. Once inside the dungeon, you first need to deal with 3 Ziggurats located nearby by defeating the mini-bosses at their entrances and then all the mobs inside.
Once that done, proceed to the Slaughterhouse and deal with all the enemies coming at you, until you’d be finally able to enter the chapel. There, you should be finally be able to encounter Aurius Riverdare, the final boss of the dungeon, and get a chance of obtaining the Deathcharger’s reins.
You have to enther the Stratholme though the Eastwall Gate. The coordinates are 43.5, 19.2, Eastern Plaguelands. You’ll enter right into the Elder's Square, with Aurius nearby.
After another dozen or even hundred of uncussesful attempts, it’s easy to start doubting whether any specific loot even drops to this day. As for the Rivendare’s Deathcharger, the answer is yes, it does still drop from the Lord Aurius Rivendare in Stratholme. If you’ve been running this dungeon for a while and still haven’t receive the mount - our condolences.
Lord Aurius Rivendare is the boss that drops the Riverdare’s Deathcharger’s reins. Originally, Baron Rivendare was dropping the mount, but since the Cataclysm expansion, Aurius took the place of his father in the Stratholme, as well as Baron’s old drops.
