With Overgear's WoW Fishing boosting service, you can quickly reach the max level of fishing and unlock the full potential of this relaxing yet rewarding profession. With enough luck, you can make quite a lot of gold just by selling your catches at the auction house. It’s also one of the best professions you can choose to unwind after all your dangerous adventures!
You might think that there isn’t much to Fishing. You just drop the bait into the water and pull whenever something bites your hook. And, well, yeah, that's pretty much it. But Fishing in WoW is less about what you do and more about what you get!
You’d be surprised at just how many different things you can fish out. Sure, most of what you’ll be catching is fish. But you can also catch gear and equipment, which can be sold for a nice amount of gold.
There are bottles that contain recipes for different professions. With the profession progression system, players will certainly want to get their hands on any recipe they can, even if they use it once and never again. You can also fish out Darkmoon Cards, which will be very valuable for players trying to build a full deck.
The fish itself is worth mentioning a second time, too. Most of the fish is used for cooking, and there are plenty of recipes that use fish as ingredients, including feasts! But that’s not all, as some types of fish will be useful for other professions as well, such as Inscription and Jewelcrafting. There are even some mounts that you can fish right out of the water!
Just approach any pool of water and select Fishing from your spellbook. A bait will be dropped into the water, and you’ll need to click it once it starts bouncing around. There are also some special fishing pools, some of which will become available to you only at higher profession levels. Currently, their primary purpose seems to be catching specific types of fish, but there may be more to discover in the future.
Fishing is a nice, peaceful activity with its own minigame and progression. It’s downright essential for Cooking and you can catch many valuable items other than fish, which can be sold for gold or used for your own benefit. But ultimately, it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth your time or not.
It's worth noting that Cooking isn't the only profession that requires fishing, either, with some crating professions also needing fish for their recipes. It's also one of the most straightforward ones since there are no skill points for you to fiddle with. While some may be dissatisfied with the lack of skill points and specialization trees, it also makes Fishing much easier to level compared to most other gathering and crafting professions.
The higher your fishing skill, the better your chances of catching something. In Dragonflight, your fishing profession is also tied to your reputation with the Iskaara Tuskarr. As you progress through their ranks, they grant you access to new fishing pools and fishing equipment, including a fishing net that allows you to catch fish even while you’re AFK.
You don’t actually need a fishing pole to fish. Just take Fishing out of your spellbook and drag it into your action bar for convenience. You can still equip fishing rods to improve your fishing skill, but now they go into your Fishing Journal instead of taking up space in your inventory.
The Fishing Artifact “The Underlight Angler” is an amazing rod with many fun and useful abilities, which explains why it’s so sought after by WoW fishermen. To keep things short, you need to reach level 45, level your Legion Fishing profession skill to 100, and get the "Bigger Fish to Fry" achievement.
Once you've completed all that, you’ll unlock the Luminous Pearl questline, which rewards you with The Underlight Angler. You can also complete the "Fisherfriend of the Isles" achievement to get the Underlight Emerald, which unlocks two alternative colors for the artifact.
You can still equip fishing poles to increase your skill, and there are multiple ways of obtaining them, but they’re not required to start fishing. The same goes for all the other WoW professions — the gear helps get better results, but it's not required.
