Classic Era Rhok'delar Boost

Not in the retail version of WoW. Being removed all the way back in 2010 during the Cataclysm expansion, its been over a decade since this epic bow was available for the players for the last time. But with the release of WoW Classic, the players are once again given the ability to get this iconic weapon and become a living legend!

Rhok’Delar was widely considered the Best in Slot weapon for Hunters in Vanilla WoW. Just like with any other equipment in the game this epic bow was understandably overshadowed with new weapons of following expansions. But if you’re a hunter playing WoW Classic. Rhok’Delar is an absolute must-have.

Despite being beloved by the players, this epic bow was eventually removed from the game in Patch 4.0.3a of the Cataclysm expansion in 2010. For more than a decade this hunter bow was completely unavailable. But with the release of WoW Classic, the hunters can once again use it to their heart’s content!

Broadly speaking, a hunter who wants to get this bow has to complete a special questline. First, they have to get the Ancient Petrified Leaf from Majordomo boss fight in Molten Core raid. Then, talk with Vartrus the Ancient in Felwood and accept his quests, only two of which — Stave of the Ancients and A Proper String — are needed for the bow.

One quest would require them to kill four powerful demons across all Azeroth without any outside help and the latter — to get Mature Black Dragon Sinew from Onyxia. Once both objectives are complete, return to the Vartrus, receive Ancient Rune Etched Stave and you’d be able to craft the Rhok’Delar epic bow.

Only the Hunter class can use the Rhok’Delar bow. So was the case in Vanilla WoW and it remains such in WoW Classic. Other classes would have to look for the alternative BIS long-range weapons.
