Classic Era Naxxramas Attunement

Starting from WotLK, Naxxramas no longer requires an attunement in the Retail World of Warcraft. However, the original Naxxramas, released all the way back in 2006, did require the players to complete an attunement quest to enter. And it still does now in WoW Classic. To do the attunement, the players have to talk to Archmage Angela Dosantos in Light's Hope Chapel, Eastern Plaguelands and complete the The Dread Citadel - Naxxramas attunement quest.

Attunement for the classic Naxxramas is surprisingly straightforward. Broadly speaking, all you have is either reach Exalted reputation with Argent Dawn or pay with some rare materials for the “entry ticket”. On one hand, it can be an extremely easy attunement to do. If you already have a high reputation with the Argent Dawn or have the required materials, then the attunement quest can be finished the same moment you pick it up.

On the other hand, if you lack both the reputation and the materials, this attunement can be extremely tedious to finish. Ever since the Wrath of the Lich King came out, Naxxramas was reworked and no longer requires an attunement in the retail version of WoW. To complete the Naxxramas attunement, the players have to do the “The Dread Citadel - Naxxramas” quest, given by the Archmage Angela Dosantos in Light's Hope Chapel, Eastern Plaguelands. However, the requirements for the quest will differ greatly depending on what reputation you have with Argent Dawn. And you do need to be at least Honored with the organization in order to pick up the quest in the first place:

• Honored: Bring Angela 60 gold, 5 Arcane Crystal, 2 Nexus Crystal, 1 Righteous Orb
• Revered: Bring Angela 30 gold, 2 Arcane Crystal, 1 Nexus Crystal
• Exalted: Free Pass. Speak with Angela once more to complete both the quest and the attunement.

When WotLK was released all the way back in 2008, Naxxramas was slightly reworked. It changed location, no longer required attunement, the enemies and loot were slightly changed and, of course, all of it was also explained with some new relevant lore. All in all, while there were a number of small changes, the raid mostly stayed the same.

Yet, the fact still remains that the classic version of the raid was completely and forever removed from the Retail WoW. But with the release of WoW Classic, the players once again were given a chance to experience this raid in its original form!
