The average win rate of the WoT player is around 48-49%. While not particularly great and praiseworthy, players with this win rate are considered having enough knowledge about game mechanics and competence on the battlefield.
The players with a win rate of 45% and below are considered noobs and overall unreliable. Meanwhile, if the win rate is above 50%, the player generally has enough mastery to turn the tides during a difficult situation. Of course, the higher the win rate, the more reliable the player considered to be.
Currently, the highest win rate of 91.39% belongs to the player Judge_iEriC. This is undoubtedly awe-inspiring and something to admire, but don’t be too intimidated — we’re talking about the player that has only ~1k of battles and play only on the II tier tank.
Only three players worldwide have a rating above 90%, 22 have an 80-90% rating, and about 160 have a 70-80% rating. 60+% rating, on the other hand, is much more natural and palpable, with several thousand players reaching it. This is more than enough to prove that you’re a pro player.
Win rate isn’t a be-all and end-all of WoT player’s stats. After all, a lot depends on your teammates, whom you can’t control. Still, this is a generally good indicator of how well a person plays and how much influence they have over the battlefield. Overall, any win rate above 50% is considered good, but there are some nuances:
Your win rate is the total number of battles you participated in divided by the number of victories you had. One notable detail is that losses and draws both counts towards the “battles you haven’t won” category. In other words, whether you lost a match or had a draw, it’s counted the same way in your win rate. This is somewhat controversial among WoT players, but it is what it is and doesn’t affect the numbers much. But still worth keeping in mind.
Like with any other competitive discipline, there isn’t any single trick we can give you to start consistently winning. However, we can provide several general pieces of advice on how to perform better in the game!
