To use Aetherpool weapons outside of Palace of the Dead (PotD), visit E-Una-Kotor in South Shroud. Initially, exchange your Gear Levels for Aetherpool Grips, which can then be used to obtain the weapons. You can purchase one Grip for every 10 Aetherpool Levels you possess.

The cost for a Padjali Weapon is 3 Aetherpool Grips. To acquire a Kinna Weapon, trade the Padjali Weapon along with an additional 6 Aetherpool Grips. In summary, you must invest a total of 90 Levels for one Kinna Weapon. During the boost, Aetherpool will be exchanged for the desired Kinna weapon, along with all acquired resources and gils.

Aetherpool weapons are the arms used in the Deep Dungeon, Palace of the Dead. Aetherpool gear can be enhanced by accessing silver coffers to get more powerful weapons like Padjali or Kinna.

To FFXIV unlock Palace of the Dead, you must first reach at least level 17 and complete the main scenario quest Into a Copper Hell. After that, head to New Gridania (X:12.0, Y:13.1) and talk to Nojiro Marujiro to accept the quest The House That Death Built. Completing this short questline will unlock the Palace of the Dead, the first and most iconic deep dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV.
